Just a few weeks after high school, I began attending the U of M's Veterinary Technology program in Waseca, where I obtained an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology in 1990. I relocated to San Antonio, TX later that same year, where I worked at the San Antonio zoo as a zoo keeper and veterinary technician. I met my husband in 1994, got married in 1996 and graduated with a B.S. in Biology from the University of TX in Arlington in 1997. We relocated with Brian's job at the end of 1997 to Brewster, New York, where I managed a small animal hospital. In 1999, we relocated to Orlando, Fl, where I was hired as Sea World's first veterinary technician. I left my job at the end of 2006 to prepare for the arrival of our daughter. I am currently an adjunct instructor at Brevard Community College in their Veterinary Technology program, where I teach occasionally. The majority of my time goes to being a stay-at-home Mom...the best job I've EVER had! :)

One of my memories is of the first time I saw a Walkman that had the ability to play either side of the cassette tape. A group of us gathered around this new form of technological advancement and discussed how amazed we were...and we thought THAT was technology in our day! I actually had to explain to a babysitter the other day that computer disks used to be "floppy". Boy, did I feel old! :)
