Changing Insurance

Has anyone changed Insurance Carriers under Medicare?  I had United Healthcare and signed up for Blue Cross Blue Shield.  Now this is supposed to be an automatic change.  The last company you sign up with is supposed to be the selected provider.  Well, I had to submit applications 3 times because UHC kept submitting and kicking out BCBS.  Generates one heck of mound of paper.

I changed my drug supplement coverage this year and so far have not had any problems. Will see when Jan. rolls  around and I have to use it. I stayed with my medical insurance supplement plan. I have been very satisfied so far.

Haven't heard a thing about my medical coverage, so far it is OK. But, I lost my doctor, she wanted a retainer of $1000 a year just for her services whether you made a visit or not.

Guess I'll do as the native Americans did, find the right roots for curing sickness symptons.

Earl, I heard more Drs. are doing what your Dr. did. thankfully I don't know of any doing that here but I am sure it is coming. Guess Dr.'s don't want to mess with Medicare.

My urologist dropped me last year.  I didn't get the robo call reminding me of appointment.  When I called to check, receptionist asked what kind of insurance I had?  When I said Medicare Advantage, she replied that the doctor is no longer seeing Medicare patients and did not give a referal to another Dr.
