MARION: A beautiful butterfly, Sharon L. Wilson, has been given wings to leave her earthly remains on Monday evening, June 29, 2015, at her home with her loving family by her side and her daughter's holding her hands, following an extended illness. She was 68 years old and a lifelong resident of Marion.

On March 20, 1947, Sharon was born in Marion, Ohio, the older of two children of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Harrington) Haubert. She attended Marion Catholic Schools until her sophomore year when she transferred to Marion Harding High School because a young gentleman caught her eye, Tim Tyler. She graduated in the class of 1965.

For 29 years, Sharon was a dedicated work at Foodtown in Marion, where she also served as their union steward for many years.

With a love for the outdoors, Sharon and family enjoyed going camping at many campgrounds in Ohio. She also loved visiting Lake Erie with her close friends after her retirement. In her younger years, she spent a lot of time at Lincoln Pool, where she also taught swimming lessons, and she loved dancing and roller skating.

A very strong and independent woman, Sharon was the pillar of her family. She was the first person they would turn to for the perfect words of wisdom, and her children feel like the "luckiest kids in the world" to have had her as their mother. Sharon also cherished every moment spent with her grandson, who was the apple of her eye.

She will be dearly missed by her two daughters: Christie Stineman and Tracie (Jeremiah) Trumble; her grandson, Linken Trumble; a brother, Joseph (Nancy) Haubert; a niece, Jennifer (Zach) Guerrieri; two great-nieces: Carrigan and Cadence Guerrieri; former husband, Tim Tyler; and her special friend, Carla Baker.

Her family will greet friends from 2 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 5th, at the Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Home, 347 W. Center St., Marion. Services honoring her life will also be held there at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, with Hospice Chaplain Charlene Baughman officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Cemetery.
