Hi Sara, on behalf of St. Mary's class of '62 we wish to thank you and all the commitee members for putting on a great reunion and letting St. Mary's be a part of it. Also thanks for letting us be a part of this website we truly appreciate this opportunity. I'll be looking forward to seeing Steve Hatfield at our 75th. William Heil

Bill, It was so wonderful to see you at the reunion - my neighbor for many years, who spent many hours with my brother Jim and me in the backyard and Elks Playground. Drove by our neighborhood. Was glad to hear from someone the playground is going to be refurbished. You have a beautiful family. Thanks for letting me know you were there. Yes, they should have acknowledged that St. Mary's class was there. I was going to try to attach a photo of my brother and me when he came to visit after the reunion but can't figure out how to do it!.

Thank all of your committee who worked so hard on the reunion!  We(Rod and I) had a great time before the Country Club festivities and our little social happy hours at our hotel!  Made it back to Palm Springs on Tuesday and I went back to my patients yesterday and today!

Many thanks to the Committee for making the 60th Class Reunion for SMHS and MHS a wonderful weekend! I didn't know that many people from the Classes of 1963 or 1964 but was happy to re-connect with Sara Jaconson!!

Later. Love, Pat Blum Ikan

I thought maybe the classmates would like to read this article that was in the TR on September 18.  It was written by Susan Abrahamson Vaugh from the "Class of '63" after she attended our 60th Reunion.  It is a nice article about Marshalltown & what she enjoyed at the reunion.  Thanks for writing the article, Susan.

Just returned from a trip to Marshalltown to vist my folks and brother in Riverside Cemetery. Driving around town and stopping for a Maid-Rite brought back all kinds of good memories. I miss Marshalltown but don't miss the winters.

Hi,

Looks like I didn't miss much. For the last six months all of my messages for this website have been going to SPAM.

Well, I didn't die and hope none of you did either. I did get a new e-mail.

I was just checking on the obituaries on the TR as I had not seen any posted on Facebook recently and was so sad to see that we lost another classmate.  Susie Boyle Spears passed away in Fremont Nebraska last week.  She was 80 years old.  I had not seen Susie for several years but probably 15 years ago we were visiting friends in Kimberling City, MO and had the opportunity to visit Susie and her husband at their beautiful home in Branson.  We stayed in touch on Facebook and she wasn't on very much any more.  Sure will be missed by her family and friends.

Thought maybe classmates would like to see how some classmates got to welcome Rich Stanley back to M'town for a visit.  We met for lunch and had a really good time reminiscing about old times and when we were in school.  Since it was planned with fairly short notice, we would like to have seen more classmates there but quite a few were not able to come because of other commitments.  We were just pleased to see the people who were able to come.  The left side of the table included Nancy Kerr Wunn, Joan Coughlin Studts, Ginger Mahnke Eich and John Eich.  The right side of the table classmates were Sharon Rose Knox, Mary Kay Mason Middlekoop, Rich Stanley, Sara Neve Kurth & Tom Kurth.

If anyone is planning a visit to town, please let someone know because we would love to get together with you when you are in town.

We all need some good news and fun!  I need more sunshine, since it's been raining for a week!  We do have some beautiful pink buds showing up on the dogwood!
