Received this tribute to Gary Armstrong from Alan Rovner informing us of the Gary's passing.  Thank you Alan for your memories.

Gary was my best friend in high school. We connected again when we both attended the University of Iowa. We kind of lost track of one another after I graduated in 1970. Although we never saw each other after that, we somehow started exchanging Christmas cards. I had hoped to see Gary at our 50th reunion, but he had a conflict and couldn't make it. In response to that years Christmas card, I received a letter from a lawyer telling me of Gary's death. I'll always cherish the times we spent together (especially working math problems at his house), and will probably always regret not making more of an effort to see him. Gary was an accomplished bowler (probably good enough to turn pro), and a very successful businessman. I miss him!
