Steve Barnett was killed in an auto accident in 1967.

Services for Steven Barnett, 23, of Des Moines who was killed Friday night in a one-car accident 14 miles north of Des Moines, will be Monday at Pursel-Davis Chapel with the Rev. C. Wayne Overholser in charge. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Barnett was born June 27, 1944, in Lawton, OK, the son of Doyle and Mary E. Yates Barnett, and was reared in Marshalltown where he graduated from high school in 1962 and was on the varsity football team.

He was graduated in 1967 with a bachelor of architecture degree from Iowa State University, Ames, and had been associated with the Savage and VerPloeg architectural firm in Des Moines.

Mr. Barnett was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the American Institute of Architects and Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barnett of Marshalltown and a brother, Doyle Mark, a junior at the University of Iowa.

Bearers were Douglas Frey, Tom Werderitsch, Jerry Gazaway, Al Harding, Robert Ball, and Lawrence Luick.

Attending in groups were members of the TTT Society and representatives of Lennox Industries Inc., Marshalltown, Marshalltown Education Association, First Presbyterian Church, Savage and VerPloeg Architects of Des Moines, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and professors of architecture at Iowa State Univeristy.
