Charles Doane, 74, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Chuck is survived by his wife, Carmen Doane of Bentonville, son, Robert Doane of Bella Vista , son Andrew Doane of Aldie, Va, granddaughter, Emily Doane of Aldie Va, grandson, Rex Doane of Aldie, Va, granddaughter, Rain Doan of Batesville, Ar.
Chuck was born on February 22, 1944 in Marshalltown , Iowa to Clarence and Clara (Mallatt) Doane.
He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1962 and joined the United States Air Force where he served 4 years. After his service to his country, Chuck joined the Marshalltown Police Department where he continued to serve for 30 years until retiring at the rank of Assistant Chief of Police in 1996.
In june of 1964 he married his High School sweetheart and love of his life Carmen. The couple had two sons, Robert and Andrew.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Clarence and Clara Doane, his brother, Jack Doane, and his sister Joanne Bentley.
Chuck was a gentle and loving man who dedicated his ife to others through service to his country, his community and through his church. He was a devoted family man and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling, amping, having large cookouts with family and friends and providing a smie and kind word to everyone he met.
A memorial service will be held at Highland Christian Church in Bella Vista on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 starting at 10:30a.m.

Chuck and I worked together as managers for MHS sports teams for two years.
Chuck was a truly good person, always fun to be around, always a hard worker.
We had some great times together. So sorry to learn he is gone.
