Hey, sorry for the late response, but just wanted to share a big Thank You to the committee for the great time we had. You guys did a wonderful job. My wife and I had a good time.

It was such a fun event! Funny how it seemed as if time stood still. I thought everyone looked great and what a blast!! I'm all for a 35 year reunion. I think we should just plan on it for whoever is interested! I have a lot of pics but I just haven't had the chance to sit down and put them on the website..but I will! Thanks to the committee for all the hard work they put in!

Fogarty,
Congrats on your rehab stint. We all have faults and issues. It takes a BIG man to take the advice of a true friend (who only was looking out for your best interest) and get the help you needed. I'm sure our entire class will not judge you, but is proud of your recent triumphs. Again congratulations!

Your "REHAB IS FOR QUITTERS" bumper sticker is in the mail from Betty Ford.

My personal battle is an issue that track 1 of the Buzzcock's "Singles Going Steady" compilation album addresses. 10 points for the first person to guess my affliction.

It's a great day when the Marshalltown Bobcats beat Valley on Friday night in Valley Country....our boys blocked a field gold attempt and then hit a 30 yard field goal kick to win by two in the last 6 secs of the game in the forth quarter, final score 16-14..sweet.

Classmates, groupies and general hangers on: if you'd like to view the Video from Saturday nights program- it can be seen on YouTube. Search; Marshalltown High School 30 year Class Reunion Video. It's a little over 7 minutes and takes a high speed connection to view at optimum. Might want to check it out soon just in case - Sony "thinks" they have some sort of ownership over the music- I don't think they will pull it off the site.

John: I am pretty sure that if you went to the Kinsey Institute http://www.kinseyinstitute.org/ they would say you are fine and really do not have an addiction. Or if you do then most eveyone does.

Thanks Jeff, you did a great job with the video. I have forward the link to several MHS people.

Just a warning for Mtown residents... it sounds like Billy Ficken is going to be in town this weekend after watching the Bobcats crush Dowling at the UNI dome. Lock up your valuables and house pets.

Add 3 to your tailgate for Fridays game. The M'town / Dowling game was incredible. Best M'town high school sporting event ever! Great to see so many M'town people supporting the Bobcats. Jon's right, lock your doors and turn on your alarms. No one will be in town.

Dean- RSVP for a tailgate ? When has a member of the MHS Class of 79 ever ran out of adult beverages for a party? Thanks for putting this together - this is great for the Bobcats and we (3) will see you there Friday! GO BOBCATS!
Iowa City will pull a crowd- but Marshalltown's will have more fun!

awww crap!!! Of course I am just reading this today (11/24)...I was also at the Dome on Friday night with my 22-yr-old son and my 8-yr-old daughter. I am so sorry I missed my classmates!!! As for the Bobcats, what a great season!!! So, so proud of our team!!! Wish it would have ended differently, but they certainly have nothing to be ashamed of...they had one heck of a year!!! Go Bobcats!!!

Though I am late. I want to congratulate the 2009 MHS Bobcats for their feat of playing in the 4A state football championship. You guys have a lot to be proud of for as far as you went. Great job! Proud to be an alum of Marshalltown High School.

If you have read my profile in the last few months you will see that my life revolves around my new husband, Lars. I have waited all my life for him, I love him so deeply, and I have NEVER been so happy before since I met him. Now I ask for your prayers for him. He was taken to Mercy hospital Feb. 1st with a tear in his main artery near his heart. He is hanging on but it is rough. This happened so suddenly, it's like a horrible nightmare. I'm asking everyone I can think of for prayers of healing. Lars is the most wonderful person...so loving, so kind. We've only been married a short while so please ask the Lord to let me keep him for awhile longer. I need hin so desperately and I'm having a hard time dealing with all this. Thank you for reading this and for your prayers.
