Dave,

I echo the sentiments of the others here...thanks for all the work on the website! It's a wonderful way to catch up with everyone. My wife and I are really looking forward to doing so in person at the reunion as well.

Just out of curiosity, who was your favorite teacher?

Please finalize your plans to attend the reunion. I need to give a head count this week. Hoping to see all of you at the reunion. Please tell everyone you can!

Thank you,
Bryan

I just wanted to add that I have heard the money is too much or whatever-we need to remember that it is a one time kind of thing and it is going to be sooo much fun! I thank Dave for putting this site together and Bryan and Audrey and all involved for helping us all get together! $100 is not too much to pay for me to see my old friends again!

Just wanted to thank you Dave for getting me in touch with Jayson who had Jim's number who had Chris Hahns number. :) I've been talking to Chris for 3 days straight on the phone and i never wouldve found him again without this site. I sent him an email to register. Wish i could make it to the reunion! Take lots of pictures! I'm working on getting the ones i have from high school on here.

I have had a few people tell me they couldn't come because of the money. I am so sad about that. I wish we had some kind of reunion scholarship fund. I wish I could pay for everyone, but I can't. Do we have any big lottery winners from the class of '88? I wish we could figure out a way for everyone who wanted to come to be able to come.

I apologize for the price of the reunion. The price was calculated based on the price of the hall, food, and entertainment. The problem is figuring the number of classmates that will attend. The five and ten year reunions lost money based on the price. This year I was hoping to break-even. If any money is left over, the money goes into a saving account I established for the Class of 1988 to be used in future reunions. This savings can reduce future costs.

Any problems I am always available to talk. 765-342-8120

I sent emails to the last known addresses that I have for Mark Wiley and Mike Pence, but I see that neither have responded.

Mike is in Martinville at 165 Byron Blv. His number is 765-516-3446. Mark lives in Lafayette with his wife, Amy. I don't have a valid number for him.

If someone drive by Mike's and convince him to join the site and attend the reunion, please do.

I made contact with Mark Wiley yesterday. He said to tell everyone hello and that he won't be able to make it to the reunion. He and Amy are expecting their first child very soon, and she can't travel.

He said he has been enjoying reading everyone's profiles and will post one soon.

Thanks for this David. I've reconnected with some folks thanks to you and it's just great! Especially appreciate connecting with the bad influences. Touched base with a lot of folks that I miss too. After trading stories, it's amazing how the memories start flowing. Great hearing from everyone!

Dave, this website is fantastic. I have so much fun reading about what everyone is doing now. I am so sorry I'll miss the reunion. It's really difficult to travel any significant distance or spend any time away right now with a new baby. It's amazing that some of us are just starting out with our children, and some of you have children graduating from high school. (I guess that's what happens when you don't get married until you're 31.) I wouldn't change it for the world, though!
Anyhow, thanks again for this wonderful website. I've gotten reconnected with a few "long lost friends." It's been great.

Thanks Dave for the site. It looks great and I am looking forward to getting back in contact with several of our classmates. I will not be able to attend the reunion as I will still be on a wildland fire in California. I will really miss the chance to catch up with everyone. If anyone would like to catch up drop me a line.

A few of us have facebook pages and Dave Kauffman (techno man extraordinaire) created a group page for us to join if anyone wants to share photos of the reunion for those of us that couldn't be there.

Please create a face book page and then join the Martinsville class of 88' group page. Yes, I'm advertising your group Dave, smack me later, I'll pour wassail down your throat! LOL

Hopefully, the link works!

I had such a great time - a little too much to drink but hey, I think this is the first time I've drank with everyone "legally!" I'm so glad everyone came. What a turnout . . . Thank you to everyone who came and made it so much fun.

Susan ~ a very special thank you to Doug for making sure we were safe to drive (I can honestly say that was the first time I had ever taken that test!).

Randy ~ I'm so glad you met someone, still crack me up after 20 years and you didn't even remember me when you walked in....

Don't forget to post your pictures, kids and everything else on the site - or at myspace - I loved seeing everyones' families. I thought I had cloned children until I saw Patty's daughter. Wow!! So neat to see everyone, let's not be strangers.

Well, We ALL know I had a blast, huh?! I couldn't stop dancing and this time-(Marcy, you didn't have to take care of me! haha & and didn't have to be mad at Danny for NOT!) It was an amazing night! I have to say when I turned around on the dance floor and saw Bryan doing the Michael Jackson and "humping" my husband's head was a sight I will NEVER forget! lol, but we all know Bryan, and I am sure that this is not the first or last time for that to happen-I was totally excited to see my great friend Rachele Randall and how gorgeous she is! Thanks for coming! Also, to Jason Koch, I am SO SORRY that I got you wacked in the second grade by Mr. Smith! I hope someday you can forgive me ;(...To my amazing friend, Hans...I promise I will not take KYLE away from you!!! I hope, especially, through this website we can all stay connected. There is something special about our class and the closeness we share. You are all great and thanks for being my friends! Take care and I love you all!!!! Marcy, Doug was glad he could be of service. It's not very often that people ask him to give them a breathalizer test. I had to laugh when he called me from work this morning. He spoke with one of the spouses who attended the reunion and was told that while he was outside giving tests that class members actually came to him and asked him to give them, so they would know whether or not they were safe to drive, there were others inside who had no idea what was really going on, that were cursing him and thought he was just trying to be a jerk. They were afraid to come outside for fear that he would test them!

Those of us who were outside, can have a good laugh at that!
I think that was the first time he had used his sensor in years.
He was glad to be of assistance. All of you who were out there, I just want you to know that it was the funnest part of the night for him.

Thanks to all those who talked to him and made him feel welcomed at the reunion.

I'm still laughing and it has been hours since he called me!!!!

small world...my friend suz is the one who organizes the breathalizer training classes (sorry i don't know the technical name)...only available 4x yearly at IU...didn't know it was such a skill. i would have taken the test if i'd have known it was offered. i must have left before all of this...with just a slight headache dulled by aleve. i sent a few pics to dave to be added to the gallery. great to see everybody. everyone is welcome to keep in touch and visit me in SC. if any of you received any great 80's songs burn me a copy please...i'd be glad to reciprocate-i made my own for the road trip...lots of prince for those interested or not...

Peggy, I think "Prince" was one of my best friends in High School. I knew the words to every song and saw Purple Rain numerous times. Wondering now if I should even admit to that. Hehe Our teens say, "Man Mom, what were you thinking.

I really had a good time!!!! I'm a little upset about alot of our classmates missing. I think someone should have taken into consideration that a lot of our classmates lost EVERYTHING in the flood and to come up with extra money for this was impossible. Also how hard to find Jim Adkins- Adkins body shop- He never got a invite.lol. Any how I had fun it was good seeing some I have'nt in long time.Denise get your pictures on here!!!
