Mark Hamlin

I left Martinsville to go to college in Northern Wisconsin on the south shore of Lake Superior where I received my degree in Outdoor Education/Natural History. I then spent the next 20 years teaching wilderness skills, environmental studies and leadership development as well as being an administrator for various outdoor programs. I've worked from Alaska and the Yukon to Washington state, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Texas, Arizona, Hawaii (Maui), New Zealand, Australia, and Baja California Mexico. In my spare time I've coordinated several personal canoeing expeditions to the arctic of Canada. I ran the outdoor program for UNC-Asheville in NC, a paddlesport program for Charleston County Park and Rec in SC, coordinated regional programs for the Girl Scouts of Maine, and am now back with the National Outdoor Leadership School in Lander, WY. I recently became engaged and will be married in October of 2014 in Savannah, GA.
