Kelly Waddle Townsend

I married my highschool love March 18,1989 and have been together ever since! I have been through a few careers, so to speak. I worked at Paragon elementary for the course of my kids being enrolled there(about 5 yrs), then went on to work at the Animal Hospital of Martinsville-drs Maxwell and Johnson for 5 years. That was my passion and I loved it! in fact I may have helped in surgery on many of your pets over those years! However, allergies hated me. After that I moved on to becoming a dental assistant. I was at a clinic in Gosport , for about 2 years, my operatory was where the root canals took place. Nice. Presently, I am at our auto repair shop handling the desk and books. I feel very blessed in life, so many different
experiences. I never had that much belief in myself back in school days, but all these experiences have shown me that really theres nothing I cant do--and do well!
Shelby is now a graduate of Martinsville High and looks forward to a career in radiology. She is currently in college and has two and a half years to go for her degree.
Mackenzie is now a freshman in Martinsville High and she's looking forward to driving this summer. She is excited to be working this summer, training thoroughbred race horses. Horses are our passion.
This summer will be quite eventful,as we are very involved with attending my husbands sprint car races, camping,and horseback riding.

My fondest memories about highschool, as i look back, are certainly different now than they were then. I think back to some of the teachers I had... my fav. being coach Koontz. Remember, fight the good fight? He was truly someone that was real and good. He really cared about the kids.

I really wanted to join the armed forces.
