Do I need to ask for you again to get my CD?

09/10/08 05:15 PM #236

Linda Braden (Albert)

It's best to ask for me. I should be here anytime from 11 a.m. till whenever. Doors are locked at 5 but if you call me, I can let you in.

I absolutely love the CD of the reunion. Everyone needs to get a copy of it. We all seemed so relaxed and you could tell we were having a good time. You captured the hearts and sometimes minds of your fellow classmates.

Thanks, Diane. I enjoy taking pictures and have learned a lot from the photographers I work with.

Gary, how's the weather down yonder?

I had told Linda that I had never seen that paper anywhere. The hospital carries the Knoxvillle Voice and a couple of other freebies but not the Blount Voice. So you got it at Denso or somewhere else?

Hi,

We've been spared Ike this time, and are praying for those in the Caribbean and those in Texas who have and will meet Ike. We had two major hurricanes go over Ocala (hey, if you haven't looked this town up, you should ... if nothing else, all the old Tarzan movies were filmed here at Silver Springs; and it's on the way to Orlando & Disney World [yes, there is a hell, and it's in Orlando in August]) in 2004. We lost the roofs on our house and on the church, as well as the steeple fell almost on my office...and we were building a new addition at the time....but, as Cindy just reminded me, "We like excitement."

By the way, we now have a generator (you have never experienced anything until you've emptied a frig and freezer after 2 weeks of NO POWER). On the other hand, we got really good at naked-Monopoly-by-candlelight.

I know, that may be too much sharing.

With all due respect: FORGET AUBURN FOR NOW .... FOCUS ON FLORIDA!

Linda,
I enjoyed your article in the Daily Times and seeing the pictures in the Blount Voice today. Actually, I drove over the Blount Voice twice in the driveway, checked this message board, and then decided I ought to see what I drove over.

Glad to hear you "weathered the storm." I visited Silver Springs years ago when I was married. Do they still have whatever the name of that park is with all the animals?

And it was just enough information, knowing that some ministers still play board games, no head games.

Stay safe

Gee, thanks, big brother. Now I have visions of little black dresses AND naked-Monopoly by candlelight. TMI, bro!

Jon, thanks for the kind words.

Diane, Voice used to be in racks at the library and there beside Sullivan's, also, if I'm not mistaken, in front of Subs 'N Such. There are other places too but I don't remember them all. Voice is undergoing a change in presentation that will be unveiled at the 125th anniversary celebration, so I really can't say more than that.

Hey, speaking of the 125th, y'all are invited to the big bash up here at The Daily Times on Sept. 23. There will be free food, music, all the local fire and police departments are going to do demonstrations, and we'll be having tours of the building. It's from 3 to 6 p.m. You'll get to see me in my natural environment if you take the tour. Most of the events are in the parking lot between us and the Harper Lofts.

Hey Jane,
It was good seeing you at work today and nice to meet your husband. It was funny that I recognized your voice before I saw you! That was a good lunch for the price don't you think?

Shout out to Connie Talbot too, who called me while she was at the hospital. Great to talk with you.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for keeping me in the loop. I'll try to make the game day event. I have grown to enjoy giving Fulmer a fit over the game. It's almost like a NASCAR race where your favorite driver keeps getting hit by the rookie.

See you all soon,
Trenia :p

Pat C Flynn,
How in the world are you? And where have you been? I am still around for now. I have been about everywhere, but right now in Blount Co.
Diane W don't be surprised if we are not related. Of course, Linda B and I are related to almost everyone.
Susan, can you get spell check on here. I have become dependent.
Oh, and Diane W are you akin to Ronnie Milsap?
Sandy S thanks for the note. It gets terrible lonesome back here on this farm.

Sandy, you need to go into the private investigations business. Thanks for checking on where Voice is (or was) available. I'm not sure how accurate the Web site is right now after all the past changes.

I'll put the other three photos on my profile so everyone can get them in living color. How's that? They are on the CD, for those who have (or will have) a CD.

Roger, be sure and let us know how your adventure in dentistry turned out.

mike thomas when you were talking about big john's driving were you referring to his car or his golf game

Sheesh JD! You know I can do either one blind.

I could share some JD stories with the gang, but most would incriminate me too.
