Linda B. great job on your articles. Have you rested up from the big wing ding yet?
Missed my first craft fair for the fall last weekend. I had a stomach bug. Didn't feel human for 2 days. Still scheduled for Maryville College Fair the end of the month.

Good news Lydia is off of her IV today, no more painful sticks from that. Now if we can only get her to stay awake long enough to learn to eat without a tube she can come home. I am going to miss the fall festival. It is best time especially with the cool nights and when the changing colors it is spectacular. Have a good weekend guys. This is my weekend to work and I have my computer at Shanna's so I will be stuck at my desk for 8 hours both days. I am on my 10 day work week, work through Thursday.
Starting to fade, time for bed.

Hope everyone is doing well. Joey is home from ETSU. First time we've seen him in about six weeks. We went out to TGIF last night and who should come in but Sandy Fowler and family. I have never seen a classmate at TGIF before!
Sandy: Your son is very handsome! And very tall! I guess that was his little "honey" with him.

Another weekend off, what a treat. Washed 4 cars, mowed, and then ironed. I love to iron...if a good ball game is on.

Getting ready for a wedding at our church. I can't believe they didn't realise that Auburn is playing this evening. Oh well. That's what Daddy's do. Keep the family happy.

Hope everyone has a great, blessed weekend.

Hey everyone most of you probably don't remember me because i was shy in school but i did come to the 1st and 2nd class reunion but i missed the last one this year because i didn't hear anything about it and i hate so bad that i missed it. I am still in Maryville and working at GreenBank so any time any one wants to talk you can e-mail me at kirbym@greenbankusa.com. I think this is the neatest thing to be able to talk to classmates, hey by the way i have seen that Bethany Lucus passed away in 2006 does any one know what happened to her because i didn't even know she passed away. I have a grandson that is 6 yrs old and he lives with me and oh boy is he a hand full. I just hope i wasn't this mean with my parents becasue he is something else. I did see Susan (Young)Johnson just this last week and I just love her. I actully seen Bill Grindstaff at a funeral the other day and he was telling me about the reunion and again i hate that i missed it because i would love to dee you all because we are getting older,ha ha so since i didn't get to see you all just let me tell you all to take care of yourself and I love you all, yes even you Mike Thomas.

Diane Welch (Welch)

For all of you who haven't seen Lydia's finally has a photo on the site. Will have more to come as soon as she gets to come home from the hospital. We are praying it will be in the next couple of days..... Well I actaully feel like a grandmother today. I fell from the top of my daughter's stairs this morning (in the dark at 4:30 a.m.) and fell on my butt all the way to the bottom on the right side and have stoved up that whole side. Not to worry, I have plenty of cushion and will just be bruised and sore for a few days and also, don't worry, won't be carrying Lydia down the stairs either. Later

Susan Jane Loftis (Gracia)

Diane - I'm sorry you fell, but I'm glad you are ok! I just saw that gorgeous picture of Lydia! She is such a little dollie! I can see why you are so proud of her....I would be too! I'm so envious...... Take good care of all of you.

Love, Jane

Kathy Phillips (McBride)

Diane, she's a beauty! She looks really good for all she has been through.

10/07/08 11:41 PM #397

Pat Wheeler (Poole)

Diane, Lydia is absolutely gorgeous!!! She's so awake & alert in your pic--hopefully she will be home soon --keep us informed

Sorry to hear you fell--didn't break anything? Unfortunately, the body just doesn't bounce the same as when we're younger .... I tripped over the dog & down the steps last year--broke my tail bone! My kids laughed hysterically; my son offered to take me to the ER for xrays, but then suggested that it not be helpful because no one makes a cast big enough for my butt ...

Cindy: Just read about the big wreck north of Nashville. Are you safe?

Hey Diane be careful! Those steps are killers! Glad Lydia is home and all is well.

Kirby, Bethany was living in Texas with her husband and son and was having some seizures. Before the doctors could pinpoint the cause, she had one in her sleep and passed. She was such a great person/friend.

Thanks, Kirby, I love you too, and we did have a great time at our "bank" reunion! Glad that you found the website!

My husband, Steve, is home from Afghanastain/Iraq for 2 weeks R&R, so have been busy, but want you all to know that I am reading and keeping up....Love to all....

Susan, thanks for posting about Bethany. I too was wondering what happened to her. She was such a friendly, happy and talented person. I remember being so impressed that she could play the piano so well while people sang along.

Today is Sat. and I have had intentions to respond to Linda B.'s article from last Sun. newspaper all week. The Mental health articles are so important to all us. As women, especially these darn hormones really can make us sad. Thank you for your personal note. Many people feel that they are crazy (some even have been told that) and many feel that if I just have faith it will be better. Yes, God does wonderful miracles still today. But, God does allow us to have experiences that make us stronger. I know. I have suffered from mental health issues for years. The ramifications have been horrible. There was displaced anger, rage, overdrinking, overeating, overworking, lethargy, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts and the typical Southern Girl stereo type of trying to please everyone. I will always be "sensitive" in certain areas of life. I will keep on believing in the Lord and His grace and love and mercy. He has provided wonderful meds and doctors to help with these problems. I find it interesting that with technology that we have today Brain Scans actually show different areas in the brain reacting differently in depressed persons than non depressed persons. Please continue searching if your doctor and/or meds are not working. There is hope. There is beauty in this world. Life is to be lived. THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE, I WILL BE GLAD AND REJOICE IN IT.
