Hey gang, Are we talking about having a cookout this year or next? If it's this year maybe we could get the pavillion at the green belt. Someone call me at work or home and let me know what we're doing. My phone number at work is 865-305-9058 or at Home 984-1344. Let me know what I can do to help. You all the best in the world. Mike

I was suggesting a get together next year. It's awfully late in the year, the holidays will be upon us quickly, and it's getting too cold for people with arthritis (me)to sit out in the cold.

Danny: this is a lame excuse, but remember I only went to Fairview for one year. Man, talking culture shock. We moved from Loudon county to Maryville right after I finished the 7th grade at good old New Providence elementary school. It was a three room school. My great Aunt Ruth taught the first and second grade, we had a teacher for the third, fourth, and fifth grades, and the principal taught the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. Then I went to Fairview where each grade went to a different classroom for each subject!

Matter of fact, anytime you travel south on I-75 from the Lenoir City exit to the Sugarlimb exit you pass through my valley. That area is called Hotchkiss Valley. Named after one of my forefathers who owned most of the valley. The interstate goes through my back yard. Before the interstate was built, they used to come through surveying where the road would be. After they would leave, my cousin and I would go through and pull up all their stakes. (Hope the statue of limitations has run out on that!)

Enough rambling for now. Dianne: Glad Lydia is doing well.

I agree Roger. People have too many parties, church functions, and family things to do anything now. I talked to Mike on the phone at work today and I told him basically that. He said that he was thinking about a cookout in the Spring.... We agreed we would just have to poll everybody and see what people want to do.

We could get together for a little dinner sometime during the holidays if anyone can make it. Debbie P. Ashe and some of us were going to get together for the ball game weeks ago, but it fell through. When someone has an idea later, we can throw it out there!

Be blessed everyone!

Jane

Roger, Roger, Roger, My husband is a Registered Land Surveyor. Pulling up stakes is a big no-no. Whats even worse is pulling them up and moving them ever so slightly to mess up the survey. That really drives them nuts. Charlie has been working mostly on the dams for Alcoa. There has been a lot of work lately with Chilhowee Dam. It really looks different up there with the water down.
What a cool name Hotchkiss. Where are you ancestors from?

SSD: In my defense, I was probably about 6 or 7 years old and I didn't want them to put the interstate through my farm and ruin my playground. As you can see, I didn't deter them too much. ;-P

Hotchkiss' came from Scotland. My Mom's family, Proaps, and my Dad's family both actually originated from north east Scotland. They come from Scotland to Ireland to America, then wander around for several generations and descendents from both families end up in Loudon county and get married. Pretty cool huh?

Sandy Whaley: Have to come to Brewmasters some time. I used to be a "brew master" when I worked for AE Staley. I ran the fermentation side of our alcohol plant. Never did learn distillation though. We made pure grain alcohol used in ethanol production. Man, we made some of the best corn likker in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to put so many !'s. It really was good stuff!

Carolyn Lane: where are you? haven't had an email from you in a while.

Liz: good to see you back.

Susan D: puleeze be careful when you go over there. Hope you have a wonderful, blessed, SAFE time!

Can y'all believe it's almost Thanksgiving?!

Linda B: hope you are enjoying my !'s

Hey gang. I am still alive. I am just sitting back listening to all the good information that is being passed back and forth.
Oh by the way, I guess I am the odd person out... I went to Hubbard School and then on to EHS. I had to make all new friends, since everyone else went to Walland High School.
I am positive I made the right choice since I have all of you as great friends!
Take care!

Hi Everybody,

Hope no one had to stand in line too long to vote today! Lines were somewhat bad here in Virginia. I did not have to wait too long! I wanted that "Voted" sticker really bad!

Roger - interesting about you being a brewmaster! I bet you really enjoyed your job! My job has now ended for the fall! Will not know what is going to happen to the Brewmasters at Busch Gardens until we see what happens with the Inbev purchase of A&B! If they sell off the entertainment parks they make take the beer out of the parks - Bummer!!!! I am not worried - I have a lot of options with A&B

Susan D. - You be careful on your trip!

Pokey - Hope you are having a great fall - how did the craft show go?

Diane W. - Wow, you must be the best Grandma ever! Hope your tailbone is getting better! That must be some cast....smirk!

I also have some news - what is everybody doing the 3rd week in June? I made need some extra hands to unload my stuff when I move back to Tennessee!

Take Care, Lots of love to you'all!

Sandy W thanks for the kind words I am a wonderful grandmother and thank you the cast does kind of get in the way, ha. It is healing, very slowly, butt (sorry) it is healing.

Glad you are moving back. When are you coming into town again?

Sandy, that is awesome you are moving back, just let us know and we help and then have a party and maybe even come up to help you pack.

Thanks, everyone for telling me to be careful on my trip...but ya know, I am looking for another country to move to.....I am thinking that it may be better in the UAE!!!!!! and Australia!!!!!! Australia made the statement they were not changing anything for anyone who moved there and who ever moved there would have to abide by Australia laws and rules. I AM THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COUNT ME IN!!!!!!!

EVERYONE! I WENT TO THE POOL PLACE ON KINGSTON PIKE TODAY AND FOUND KAREN WIGGINS HARD AT WORK! SHE HAD DONE A BEAUTIFUL JOB WITH ALL THE CHRISTMAS TREES AND DECORATIONS. IF YOU HAVE NOT EVER BEEN THERE TO SEE HER WORK, I SUGGEST THAT YOU DO SO. IF YOU ARE NOT IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT, YOU WILL BE SO INSPIRED AND UPLIFTED. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL, MAGICAL PLACE SHE CREATED. GO!

Susan,

The website updates look great! Has your niecelet been hard at work???

Our Country is definitely changing. We can only pray that our leaders have the wisdom to govern the best for everyone. My biggest concern is for our kids, grandkids. Australia sounds great!

Hi, guys,
I've been on vacation! Went all the way to Vonore, a whopping 15 minutes from home. It was so nice to just chill out, work in my house and enjoy the beautiful autumn leaves in my yard and at Fort Loudoun with my little stinker, Ellie, and her mommy. Ellie really is a little stinker, by the way. She was a skunk for Halloween.
Sandy, welcome home!! Roger, I love the exclamation marks!!! Susan, have a safe trip and keep in touch!!!! I'm so proud of you for doing your own updates to the site - it's wonderful!!!!!
