Good to see everyone last night. Sure had fun. Susan, I did have fun didn't I? Type louder!!!!

Linda B: enjoyed your column last week. I have an aunt who kept the "use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without" thing posted in her kitchen. You brought back a lot of memories. Thanks!!!!

Cindy Gibson (Mason)

Sorry that I have been away. Life just happens.
Hope all are doing well.

Kay -- I sure would love to get a good hike in. Have boots -- waitin' to go -- Perhaps the first one should not be a 16 mile walk. But hey, if y'all plan a 16 miler, I'd go. Just drop me off at Blount Memorial afterward.

All trails are fine with me. Just wanna be in the backcountry.

Well, it is raining here in Nashville, and it is cold. Where is SPRING?
Off to go walk at the YMCA,
"C"

Yes, Roger, you did have a great time....and this is the loudest that I can type!!!!! We all had a lot of fun, even the significant others....For those of you who don't understand why we are so crazy......go to Utube and look up "Bon Qui Qui at King Burger" and "Can I have your number?" What a hoot. Kay, hope the moving is going ok, Are you having a garage sale? Do you need help? I like just using a leaf blower for dusting the house idea, I could do that, maybe, if someone would start the blower for me! Next time we get together for dinner, we need more classmates, so we can be sure to get kicked out of Applebees! lol! Janice Erickson, next time, don't just drive by, we were still there at 8:30pm.
We had a great time: Jonathan Denton, Kathy Phillips, Diane Welch, Debbie Pickle, Roger McCowan and wife Dena, John Adams, Susan DeLozier and husband, Steve Johnson.

Hello Classmates one and all,
Cindy, don't tell me it is not spring yet. I have been acting like it is spring. I have been moving (all by myself) big bushes and trees. Jake Breedlove and I planted all these things, and I just won't leave them. I laid out of church this morning (God please forgive me) to dig a Wisteria. The thing wouldn't even come out of the ground with a chain hooked to the stump, and I was pulling it with my truck. I think part of my rear end is out on the ground. Susan, before you say anything, that is the trucks rear end.

I have moved a bridal wreath, two forsynthias, a tulip magnolia, and much other stuff. These things are full grown. God has given me a good time to move this stuff. The ground is rotten. It has been easy to dig. Next I am going to move a lot of landscape pavers, and mountain stone. I cut two lamp post out of the ground yesterday. I did remember to cut the power first. Funny how most of the time I don't remember to do things like that. I am moving everything except the gravel on my driveway, and if I had a backhoe, I would do that. Thanks for asking Susan, but I am atypical with everything that I do, so I may not even take most of my furniture. Later and Love to all Kay

Susan DeLozier

lol! You guys are too funny....Roger, Steve wanted me to tell you that he loved the "Senior Salad" and does recommend you trying it! Kay, lol! what rear end? you mean trucks have those too? Kathy Hall, how are things going with the "Hugs"? Sandy Smith, where are you?

03/16/09 03:05 PM #676

Gary Marshall

Kay,

I'm pretty sure that the process of moving means you get at least one excused absence from church. After your description of tackling the wisteria, I am more concerned about you finding a healing service. . . no Susan, I will not refer to any rear ends.

Hey guys -- the shuttle launch last evening was beautiful! We've been over to see 3 launches, but if the skies are clear like yesterday we can see it really well from our backyard.

Be well, everybody.

Linda Braden (Albert)

Hello, everyone,
I've been kept on my toes at work but just wanted to say hi before I leave for the day and to let you know that I haven't forgotten my old classmates.

Kay, take it easy. I don't want to hear from Diane that you're in the cardiac unit at BMH! Spring is definitely here, though, just ask the Bradford pears. Have mercy, those things mess up my allergies something awful.

Roger, thanks for the kind words. I suspect most of us are going to be doing a lot of "without" this year.

Sandy, welcome back. Well, I know it's early but you know what I mean. Moving is a lot of hard work (we moved on an average of every 15 months and guess who had to do the brunt of it) so I really sympathize with you and Kay. One advantage is getting rid of the extra "stuff" you've accumulated, though.

My lips are always sealed, HIPPA!!!!!! Spring is Friday,,,

Debbie Pickel (Harper)

All I can say is Kay is my new hero!! You go girl!

03/18/09 01:00 AM #680

Kay Cooper (Carpenter)

Debbie P, I guess Christy Breedlove, and Linda Albert can tell you that I have moved all these plants with a backhoe four years ago. I must be nuts. Here I am doing it again. This time without the backhoe. Just my two paws. I moved a wagon load of daffodils, day lilies, and some other things today. I think I am enjoying this really. Has anyone heard from Bobby Bradley?
Later Kay

Diane Welch (Welch)

Susan- Happy birthday to my pal........glad your older than me.

Spring is definitely here. A friend of mine took a picture of a bear in the back at his cabin in Gatlinburg. Debbie A- a bear, not a little raccoon.

Is everyone ready for the hike to Cucumber Gap?

03/21/09 08:04 PM #683

Kay Cooper (Carpenter)

Bobby, it is good to know you are okay, and keeping busy. You must tell Debbie hello for me. Maybe she could go to Cucumber gap with us.

Diane, I am ready. I think. I am really exhausted. I have been moving fence stakes, and cutting wire, and brush, and moving a billion tons of steel from my barn today. I will rest tomorrow though, while teaching Sunday School. NOT!! Those 8, 9, and 10 year old girls are rowdy.
S.D.J. I hope you had a wonderful BD.
Everyone have a great weekend.
