Sandy Whaley (Baker)

Hey Everybody,

Survived the Hurricane. Some flooding near my area, but just fine. Diane, glad to hear Shana had no problems either.

Lisa Wilson (Xiques)

Just found this forum, so I want to say thanks to everyone for making the reunion such fun. I had to leave early, but had a great time. I'm not sure why I'm hiding behind Mr. Davis in the picture! I have to admit that I never expected to hear about my good friend, John Henry Sebastian, at the reunion, but it's nice to know he's alive and well. And Debbie, I was in Mrs. Chambers' class, and I do remember something about a pencil attack!

Sandy, glad you and the boys made it safely through the storms. Diane, glad Shanna is okay too. (This forum can be a great prayer chain.)
Linda B., You Rock!!! Today's article is too good. I always try to follow your writing. You have a gift of wording things to make us feel we are part of your life.
Keep up the good work!

I have so enjoyed checking this message board and reading about everyone. I hate that I didn't make the reunion, but I feel like I have caught up by reading these messages. I, too was one of those shy and quiet ones- still am to a degree. Like Lisa, it is good to know that John Henry is still "around" and by his profile, quite active. I still cringe when I hear the word "integrity" because of the lecture we got from Mrs. Cook about our lack of it and for compromising the integrity of our yearbook because of his being included. I wonder if that went on our permanant records...along with Debbie's little pencil incident? Whoever is responsible for this website- Thanks!

Sandy: Glad the storm was not so bad for you. Man, you have had an exciting life!
Diane: Glad Shanna is safe as well.
Jane: I do not remember you as being shy at all. I just thought you were way more mature than the rest of us.

Susan Jane Loftis (Gracia)

Roger - Oh yea, right! I still haven't grown up yet buddy. I think that's what keeps us young, don't you? You know you asked me what other classes we took together, I haven't got a clue. Wish I did. Sorry!

Hey yall, can I access the column Linda wrote over the internet? I don't get the paper. Let me know, ok? Thanks.

Jane

My internet has been out all day, had to wait until my very smary and computer brilliant son came home to get me back up and running.

Thanks everyone for the prayers and thoughts about the safety of my daughter. Sandy, glad to hear you made it through unscathed.

Linda, read the article first thing this morning. I know I am going to be bombarded with questions from my friends and family about the article. It was awesome. You do great work and we all appreciate it.

Glad to know everyone has safely survived the hurricane ... will keep you in my prayers as the next offenders get closer ....

Linda, that was a great article ... just enough info & nothing to send any of us to denention ...luckily, our permanent records are filed away where they can't be found ... in fact, if they were located the paper would be so yellow & ink so faded that the information can't be read ---there is something good in getting old .. ha ha ha

Hey guys...I've been gone all day & just now got on the internet. First, & most important, I want to say to Diane that I'm so glad Shanna is okay, and to Sandy W...glad you and your family are okay too! Those hurricanes are very scary, and I hate to see what "Ike' is going to do!

Lisa....I hope the pencil incident didn't scar you...haha. I have never forgotten it! Like I said, it was my most guarded elementary school secret. :-)

Linda - your article is amazing! What a gift you have! I'm just so glad there are no pictures!! At least of me! (Okay, I guess I also have that exclamation point disorder!)

Linda - I didn't know you knew Roy Blair. He lives across the street from me on Alcoa trail. He cuts some hay for me. Larry and Cristy Breedlove cut the most of it. Larry and Cristy have been wonderful to this ole widow.

Bobby - yes I do live out in civilization now, and you will never have to drag anymore cars to Happy Valley for me. I really did appreciate you and your wreckers though.

Connie Settlemyer Ailey - Connie.Ailey@Clayton.net
Terry Moody Hipps works at clayton's as well in the Home First division. I am not sure how they receive e-mail.
Sandra McLemore Pierce is at Clayton's Vanderbilt Mortgage.
Linda McLemore Vineyard goes to church with me, and assist in my Junior class. She works a company in Monroe county and is a purchaser. She buys stuff to make rackin pinion. Is that the correct spelling for that Bobby?

Susan Lawson did live in Alcoa near Alcoa pool, I think. She goes to Alcoa First United Methodist where Janet Rolen Lidvall and I go.

Janet: Maybe you still have a church directory that has her in it. Don't know where my directory is.

Diane and Sandy W., I am always amazed at God's mercy. He had me praying for the people on the coast without even realizing it would be affecting friends and their families. I'm so glad everyone is OK. Now we need to pray for the same results for people in the path of the next hurricanes coming up. Ike sounds like he will be a doozy.

Everyone needs to be especially nice to Mike Thomas today. He has been teased unmercifully by everyone who read about him calling Mr. Davis "Bob." (Hee hee.) Thanks for the kind words about the column, by the way. It's fun to write.

I have the pics on CD for everyone who dropped one by the office. Had them ready to bring today and went right out and left them. They will be here tomorrow unless my "part-timer's disease" hits again in the morning. Y'all know what that is - you can remember things part of the time! (Oh, Lord, here go the exclamation mark thingy again!)

Kay, I thought I told you that Maryanne and Roy lived near you. Maryanne and I have been friends since UT days.

Linda, Susan, Diane, and all:
I also know where some people work too. I got one person to put their profile on which was Debra Law. I doubt that you could talk her into coming to anything. I couldn't, but you all could.... Diane Morton did work at Alcoa Utilities Board the last time I saw her. Robin Radcliff's brother works here at UT, we could get her info from him. I'll work on that for us. I know there's more and I'll think of them and I'll get back to you later.....

Hey Jane Loftis! Where've you been! I expected you at the reunion.

I was already wondering how many of us went to Everett all 12 years.

I didn't think any were at the reunion but me, but after reading some of these... I didn't know Gary Marshall was there.Maybe we were in opposite classes all those years.

I remember Penny Nelson, Jane, Joel Stout, Annetta Clark, Brenda Wolfe.
Probably more if I had time to think about it.

I saw Pat Cooper last night. Am trying to get her to log on.

Does anyone know what happened to Annette Goble from our class(she is deceased)? She was such a sweet person, and I was shocked when I saw on this website that she was deceased.

To my classmates of 1973 I feel I owe everyone apology. I didn't mean to show disrespect toward Mr. Davis. I was told many years ago to call him by his first name. I admire the man more than any man alive. He always showed me respect and most importantly I can call him my friend. If I hurt or offended anybody I'm sorry. I still think the class of 1973 is the best Everett ever produced. So with deep sorrow this will be my last entry in the forum. I don't want to embrass you all any futher. You all will have a special place in my heart and memories. God Bless You all. Mike

Mike - you cannot leave...we just found you!! I don't think anyone thought a thing about that...and if people are teasing you, that just means they love ya!! I would hate to go thru life without the special people in my life teasing me & giving me a hard time. So, please stay around...we love hearing from you! And you did a fantastic job at the reunion!

09/08/08 08:52 PM #206

Linda Braden (Albert)

Mike, don't leave! Who else could I tease? Everybody knows you didn't mean any disrespect to Mr. Davis, they just want to give you a hard time in good fun. Anybody who's being mean, just send them to me. I've been known to - er, set people straight fairly strongly at times and I don't mind doing it again, especially for a sweet guy like you.

09/08/08 09:10 PM #207

Kathy Phillips (McBride)

What the heck Mike! Stick around. I was calling him Bob in '74!

09/08/08 09:25 PM #208

Diane Welch (Welch)

Mike I ran into B.L. Ervin the other day and called him B.L. after I called him Mr. Ervin, I realized I didn't have to call him Mr. Ervin anymore because he has shown me houses before. If you feel bad or embarassed you are makinig yourself feel that way. We were not, we were glad you helped host the reunion. You don't need to sign off.

09/08/08 11:50 PM #209

Pat Wheeler (Poole)

Mike...quit beating yourself up!!! You did a great job moderating at the reunion. What happened to your sense of humor? Think about it...who do you pick on & tease the most---the ones you like & know you can get by with it ...you've got to stay on the message forum; otherwise the rest of us will talk about you unmercifully!!!!
