Rich Hansen did a great job as the shoe shine boy (working on Doc Larson’s shoes) and later as the dice throwing “crap” shooter in the song “Shine”. Two brand new singers were on the risers (back row..3rd from left..Bob Jones) and (back row...5th from left ...Eric Butler) they’ve been members for about six months and now sing in a quartet together.
Over the years, Coles County has competed in 29 chorus contests. They finished in the top 7 on 14 occasions and were 4th place four times. In the years 93, 94, 95, and 96, we averaged 43 men on stage. This Saturday, we had 24, plus one non-singer..
