12/27/08 09:25 AM #133     Arlene Butler Eric, My flight has been cancelled from Chicago to Philadelphia due to weather....next flight available has me arriving at 6:55 pm....am not sure if that one will even go or whether it makes sense to even try...because then there is the challenge of getting back tomorrow (Sunday)...we leave Tuesday 5am for Panama and so I have to be back in Chicago! So I will play it by ear today and see if the weather turns yet right now it looks like I will not be coming. I am really bummed because I know it will be so much fun! So if I don't se you and the rest of the gang...have a great time and thank you and the committee for all of your efforts!:) Arlene

It went by way too fast...and thank you to everyone (all 158+ of you) who attended, you made it the party it was. Patti and I will be here in Media until January 2nd, so photos won't be posted on the website until after we get back to Florida (or until we can get access to a full internet service to upload all the photos.) Meanwhile, if you'd like to share any of your own photos taken, please email them to me and we'll add them to the website. Cheers to 2009!

I have been talking to so many of you and will continue to keep in touch. It is so warm here in AL 80 degrees today. This morning my son Justin and I went out to the shooting range, just down the road from where we live. Now heading out to the horses. Can't wait to see the pictures. I always thought we had a rather close class body however the reunion only solidified that belief. I was very emotionally moved by the conversations I had with many of you and also had more fun than I could have imagined. THANK YOU to the reunion committee whose hard work created a night to be remembered!! Seeing everyone touched my soul more than words can express...

The just have a link on the site to the "album" called "PHS73" or whatever you want. Each picture can be captioned as desired. I just saw in today's Daily Times that Bill Battey's Sporting Goods closed in Media, on Wednesday the 31st. I worked there from 1971-1974. Paul Brown worked there as well. Most of you were customers. Bill Battey opened that store in 1936. Kirk Emmons bought it in 1970, and has owned it ever since. I wish the Emmons family well. All of the boys are Penncrest alumni. I wish I had known about this earlier. I would've liked to have been there. It has been a couple of years since I've visited the store. Where does the time go?

We had an awesome time, a lot of laughs, and like everyone else, felt that time just flew by too quickly and I wished I could have talked to more people. I'm ready to buy my ticket to the 40th, and I sure hope you folks stay on board to organize it!!! There are so many great pictures. The guy(?) with me and Kathy in one of the pictures is my brother in law, Kathy's brother, Steve Luce. It was such a good party he came down from the upstairs bar and wanted to crash it... So, everyone take care and hope you all have a great and Happy New Year 2009!!! Joe
