Yeah, I remember the Red Baron. Good food but the RTS/HS is legendary... JT said: "...Cuttin' onions outside on the log." Tru dat... Still hit Apollo on Friday nights for our "family" dinner...

Eric et al,
If anyone can bring a laptop to the reunion (with camera) maybe those classmates that can't attend can skype and check out the fun electronically...the next best thing to being there! Just a thought.

Hey Jeff:

Not being able to locate a Philly Cheesesteak sounds like an issue. Let's see if we can fix that. When you get off the plane take route 352 through Parkside. Phil and Jims will be ready to serve one up. I lived in Parkside through 6th grade and probably ate 1000 of 'em.

Here in FL Philly Cheesesteaks are imitated but never duplicated. Same for the beef and cheese sandwiches served at places like the Riddle Ale House.

Hey Jack, i almost opened one up in Va beach but i chickened out. I had some things worked out but sometimes things dont go the way you plan.

I lived right down the street from the Rose Tree Steak Shop and the closest I can find to one of their cheesesteaks is at New Tiny's (if you ask for extra cheese). That is the old Tiny T's. No one else in the area can compare.

Hey Jack (Trimmell), was your address 1015 N. Providence Road? If so, it was Perry's (a salon)which was gutted by a fire. It is now Wimpy's. They make huge cheeseburgers! I remember you lived on Providence, but don't remember which side.

Jacqueline Pride (Emuryan)

Jack, 918 N. Providence is definitely a salon.

Jack,
I went to Google Maps. 918 Providence Road is now Jean Raymond Hair Design. Google Maps shows the street view and you can rotate the photo to see Sandy Bank Elementary School across the street.

While you are in street view you can point the photo down the street and click on the arrows on the photo to "travel" down the street. You could drive-by where the Rose Tree Steak Sandwich Shop was or travel to Rose Tree Elementary School. Fun stuff!

Penncrest Class of '74 offically launched their website earlier this week. If you have friends or siblings in the class, please let them know about it.

Thank you Patti for your assistence.

Cool, I had friends in the class of 74. I will see if I can get on as a guest once my friends get their profiles updated.

Why is Roland Roberts listed on the Penncrest74.com website?

Their website looks a little like ours.

Steve--

Talked to Johnny Ciminera today and he says your daughter Charlotte is also quite the b-ball player (a beast on the court!) up at PHS. Sounds like the girls team has really improved a lot over last year with all this new young talent...

Well, us parents like to think our kids "...could go all the way!.." (and help us out by getting that sports scholarship...) but she and the rest of the Lady Lions folded like a piece of paper Thursday night against Springfield by scoring just 15 points after averaging 45+ ppg on the way to a 3-1 record Which does tie them for their entire wins last season. Springfield, Radnor, Lower Merion and Upper Darby should contend for the title this year.

Hopefully, they'll bouce back against Marple tonight. They are also a dismal team on the rise but they couldn't beat them last year and the Tigers appear to be scoring more points this year so they'll have their hands full...

Now, we just have to get her to focus and keep those grades up 2 more years because when the knee or some other body part goes (like her older sister Ellen's did after tracking for a potential decent college soccer career), she'll have her smarts to fall back on...

To Eric and Patti,

I clicked on the Class of '74 link and it took me to the Class of '71 website.

You may want to change that '74 link to

PHS Class of '74

or somesuch?

When and where were the past reunions for the class of 1973? When will be the next class reunion? How about having the reunion during the summer the next time? I will make it to the next one if I am not dead or in jail! Just kidding.

Reading about cheese steaks sure makes not making this trip even more devastating! We just spent a crazy night last night driving up I-5 to the airport to spend the night and fly out in the early morning only to find out that our flight was cancelled and we couldn't get out until after Christmas and there were no guarentees. We were to go to Michigan and then on to Philly for the reunion and a quick visit with my parents. So it looks like Christmas in the NW, no reunion and no cheesesteaks!
We have been known to go for a cheesesteak before even checking in with my family! Thanks for the tip where to go, Jackie!
A very Merry Christmas to everyone and have a great time at the reunion! I'll be looking for pictures.

Dottie,
Watching the weather this morning & seeing the mess in the NW, I thought of you & a few others. So sorry to see your plans altered. There will definitely be lots of pictures from the reunion posted on our site......."know you will be missed".
So glad your enjoying the website &a big thank you for donating the purchase of your tickets towards its fund.
Regarding cheesesteaks, I plan to personally try out as many for you as possible while in PA & I'll give you a full assessment on the best..... in my opinion...burp...
Merry Christmas Dottie & a Healthy,Happy New Year.

Does anyone have any pictures from Jr High? I would love to see some of Indian Lane and Media JR High if they can be had. It would bridge the gap between the elementary and Penncrest photos very nicely.

To all our PHS friends, Trish and I will not be able to attend. This website has been so much fun and I have enjoyed reconnecting with so many of you old friends.

My kids have gotten a real kick out of seeing the pictures of my classmates Then and Now.....

We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and if you get to New England please look us up.
