Future Reunion Plans

Those attending the evaluation and planning meeting for our class were:  Sherrie, John (Ewing), Della, Connie (Everist) and husband Larry, Ken and wife Janie, Pharis, Linda (Wolfgram), Darla (Stykes), Patti and husband Dustin, Doug, and Dave Cline.

Hi Classmate,

Our "Suggestions for Next Reunion" Meeting was last night and here are some of the ideas that we tossed around:

*  Everyone wanted to have another reunion in 5 years……YEA!!!!!

*  Liked having the reunion in September versus the hot summer.

*  May want to have it in conjunction with the All School Reunion which is in June.  We will have to make this decision in 4 years.

*  Like the Name Tags - definitely a MUST!!!   Thanks again Della.

*  The Pizza Party was a hit!

*  The Website tied everything together - meaning not only the communications for the Reunion, but also us kids.   Thank You Arlene!

*  The emails and invitations for everyone to attend the Planning Meeting - was nice.

*  The Picnic was AWESOME!   Next time let's advertise for classmates to bring scrapbooks, pictures, etc.   Some classmates did this year and they were certainly enjoyed.   Bring your own food was also great.   (In typing this up, I just came up with an idea to even bring crafts that we have made to show and share with other classmates.  I'm always up for another craft idea.)  .    Janice - Thank You for planning the picnic!

*  Would be nice to show pictures of all the classmates on a TV screen.

*  Would like to have a picture area  (like prom night) next time to have pictures of couples or small groups of friends.   We could compile them on a CD and send to everyone.  Similar to what Ken did this year, but actually have A place to take the pictures……  I would also like to have the candid photos like Ken did this year.   Thanks again Ken -- great job!

*  Chris Walton, Kay Williams and Vickee Larson-Poole are going to be working on a Class of '68 Cookbook.  Details will be coming soon.

*  Invite the teachers again.  Thank you Carol, Ed and Darla!   I was amazed we had so many attend.

*  Have multiple events to attend such as;  golf, the debate team, the girl scouts, girls lunch, the Eagle Drill Team (ha ha), etc.,  etc.

*  Saturday Night Dinner discussion.   Try to find a location that would be free, such as a classmates office area or whatever, cater so that we can be flexible with the number of folks who attend.  Nothing fancy - just a gathering.  Maybe find a catering company who could help us find a location.   Key here is to keep the cost down and be flexible.   A definite MUST is to have Ilene and Ken be our MCs.   Again - Thanks to both of you!!!!

I know that I have probably missed something we discussed, but I'm sure that I will be sending out another email in the future and will include it then.

Take care,

Sherrie Aldape Ewing
