Robert A Nann, Jr.

 

 

Bob Nann was born April 24, 1946 and left this world after a valiant fight with cancer on November 20, 2012.  He was surrounded at home by those he loved so much; wife Suzanne, daughter Jennifer and nephew Kyle, a brother Marine.

Born in Syracuse, NY to parents Robert and Carol Nann he moved at a young age to Metuchen, NJ where he excelled as a star athlete, and local Real Estate Professional with his family’s business Nann Agency, Inc. Bob and Suzanne moved to Fountain Hills Arizona in 2005 to begin another chapter in their Real Estate Careers with Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate.

Bob was most proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps as a combat veteran in Viet Nam from 1966-1967.  His enjoyed membership and leadership in many organizations, American Legion Posts #65 and #58, VFW Post 75, Metuchen Memorial Park Commission and Memorial Day Parade Committee, Masonic Lodge #1914, Metuchen Chamber of Commerce, Metuchen-Edison YMCA Board of Directors and as an Elder of First Presbyterian Church of Metuchen.  Bob and dear friend Bob Yunker enjoyed many years of playing and managing a competitive softball team. Bob was a founding Director of Greater Fountain Hills Business Alliance.

A man of great courage and wisdom, Bob was a defender of those in need of solace and guidance; those he helped are numerous and mostly forever grateful.

Bob is survived by his parents, brother William Nann and wife Irene, nephew W. Craig Nann and wife Karen, nephew Kyle Nann and wife Beth and great niece  Madelyn, niece Kelly and great nieces Erin and Jamie as well as wife of 21 years, Suzanne and daughter Jennifer Colitre of Fountain Hills and his beloved cats, Lakota and Rocket.

Bob will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 1st at 2PM at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary 12065 N Saguaro Blvd. In lieu of flowers his request that donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Arizona Maine Coon Cat Rescue.  Those who wish are invited to wear” Red Shirt Friday” or anything patriotic.

Bob will live in our hearts forever…Semper Fi
