Lawrence "Larry" Cordova 

1950 ~ 2021 

Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away on January 8, 2021. Larry was born February 14, 1950 to Epemenio Cordova and Ruperta Cordova, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Larry, was a graduate of Hillcrest High School. Larry, was drafted into military service in 1969. He served in the United States Marine Corp. Upon completing his basic training he received his orders to report to the 90th replacement station in Long Bing, South Viet Nam. During his combat tour in Vietnam, he served as an infantry man in the Northern provinces of Ben Hoa, and DaNang. For his service to our country, he was awarded the National Defense Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal , the Combat Infantry Badge and several other recognitions. Larry served his country proudly but was haunted by what he experienced. Larry, was employed at Hercules (Hexcel) and DEI Fabricators. 

Larry, had two sons Jeremy and Larry Dale. He had many wonderful adventures with them and created lasting memories. 

Larry, is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Washington), Larry Dale (Dee Anna) Wardle (Idaho). Three grandchildren. His brothers Raymond Cordova, Joe (Shirley) Cordova, sisters, Matilda Cordova and Maxine (Joseph) Martinez. His cat Miss Kitty. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rufino, Ernesto, Frumencio, and Timmy Cordova; sister Lilian Diel, and his dog Baby Girl. 

A private family service with the Mass of the Christian Burial was Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7828 S. Allen Street, Midvale, Utah. Larry was laid to rest in the Midvale City Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Starks Funeral Parlor. Please share your memories and photos with his family at www.starksfuneral.com.

Larry did graduate in 1968.  Somehow his name ended up on our website.
