1950 ~ 2016
Michael Dean Burdette passed away November 9, 2016 following a life long battle with kidney failure and heart trouble resulting from Lupus. Mike was born on September 24, 1950 in Salt Lake City, UT to Thomas W and Jearldean Wood Burdette.
On June 25, 1971 Mike married his sweetheart, Terri Simpson in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. During his life he served in many callings for the LDS Church and lived by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Mike attended Salt Lake Community College and The University of Utah where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his career he worked for Chicago Bridge & Iron, Mellor Engineering, Dept. of the Army Deseret Chemical Depot, DoD-DCMA, DoD-DCMA-NASA and retired as DoD-DCMA Engineering Supervisor in 2013.
Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Terri, his mother Jerry, sister Claudia, brother Dan, and sister-in-law Carrie. He is preceded in death by his father Bill, brother Gary, and his grandparents.
Funerals services will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the Riverton 3rd Ward, 12998 S. 1300 W., Riverton, UT. A viewing will be held Sunday, November 13 from 6-8 P.M. at the same location and one hour prior to services. Interment at Mt. View Memorial Estates. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com
