Rickie Eugene Paxman

January 24, 1951 - August 18, 2018

Rickie Eugene Paxman, 67, returned home to his Father in Heaven on August 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born January 24, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

While loving to serve the LDS Church, he proudly served a mission in London, England. He remained strong in his faith and had a strong testimony of the gospel. He was married in the Salt Lake Temple to Arleen Gifford on October 11, 1974.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Eugene and Effie Paxman. He is survived by his wife Arleen, his children Jessica (Dave) Woodhead, Lance (Jamille) Paxman, Mariah (David) Andersen and Brandee (Chad) Bray, 9 grandchildren and brothers Ken (Patty) Paxman and Steve (Anne) Paxman.
He spent his life working hard for 34 years at Utah Railway and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping and being a “Mountain Man”. He was an avid reader, enjoying church doctrine and Louis L’Amour Westerns.
Rick was always making friends wherever he went and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 S. 2200 W. Riverton, UT. A viewing will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at the same location and one hour prior to services. Interment at the Herriman City Cemetery.
