IlaMae Stucki, 69, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and so much more, returned peacefully to The God who gave her life in the presence of her husband and all her children on Sunday, September 13, 2020, of complications associated with COVID Pneumonia.
IlaMae was born in Murray, Utah, on October 26, 1950. She was the third child of LaMarr and Marian Osborne. She spent the first 13 years of her life in Crescent, Utah, and then the remainder of her youth in Midvale, Utah. She led a very active life, which included being a cheerleader in school.
She met Kenneth Dee Stucki at Brigham Young University. He was her home teacher and she instantly knew he was the one. They were married on April 2, 1971. They were blessed with seven children. She often joked that they got a basketball team and two cheerleaders.
IlaMae’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are her legacy. She lived for them and loved to be with them and show them off. IlaMae took pride in raising her children in her small farming community and taught them right from wrong and how to be good contributors to their community and God’s kingdom.
IlaMae was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She valued her testimony and it was only strengthened by her many trials in life. A large part of her life was supporting her children as they served missions for The Church and by serving others as a registered nurse.
IlaMae loved the Savior and exemplified the appropriate use of the atonement He made in her life. She loved everyone she came in contact with. She had an innate ability to talk with and help everyone she met feel loved and cherished. She loved to serve. This was probably her hardest trial later in life as she had very little that she felt she could do secondary to her health. Serving brought her great happiness.
After starting her family, she returned to her dream of becoming a nurse. She went back to school at Ricks College where she earned an Associates Degree and obtained her Registered Nurse, all while supporting a loving husband and raising a small family. Her going back to nursing school contributed to two of her sons eventually getting medical degrees.
IlaMae loved all creatures great and small and seemed to have some sick or injured animal in the house or stashed in her car that she was nursing back to health every chance she had. She found great joy in seeing these animals return to health and life in general.
IlaMae was a phenomenal baker, canner, and gardener. She wrote several poems, painted, and had a beautiful singing voice. IlaMae was a very happy person, she loved nothing more than to be together with her family. She loved and valued her friends.
IlaMae is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Kenneth Stucki; seven children, Kevin (Brooke) Stucki, Jeffrey (Jackie) Stucki, Paul (Tricia) Stucki, Jared (Tina) Stucki, Mark (Andrea) Stucki, Kendra (Jason) Pincock, Amber (Brady) Sibbett; mother, Marian Edna Osborne; brothers, Joseph (LaWana) Osborne and George (Cindy) Osborne; sister, Joy Ann Scoville; and 34 grandchildren and 1.5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, LaMarr Dansie Osborne.
A public visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2020, at Wood Funeral Home East Side in Ammon, Idaho, at 963 S. Ammon Road. A private funeral for family will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020, at the Milo Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 12127 North 75th East. Burial will be in the Milo Cemetery. Funeral services will be broadcast live to Zoom Meeting.

Ila Mae was my neighbor and friend. She and her family made incredible contributions to our ward and neighborhood and I have thought of her many times wondering where she went. Idaho sounds perfect for her. I'm so sorry that COVID cut her life short, but I'm sure that her work was complete.
