Stephen W. Carleu

Stephen W. Carleu, 54, of Summit, N.J., passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2012. Visiting hours are on Monday, June 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Doyle Funeral Home at 106 Maple Ave., Morristown, N.J. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 121 South St. in Morristown. Steve's family and friends will miss his kindness, compassion, generosity and sense of humor. Steve was born on July 2, 1957, to Priscilla and George Carleu and grew up in Millburn, N.J. He graduated from Millburn Senior High School in 1975, where he played soccer and ran track. Steve graduated from Colgate University in 1979 and went on to a successful career in the financial services industry. Outside of work, Steve enjoyed golf, tennis, skiing, sailing on Lake Champlain and spending time with his wife, friends, and family. He is survived by his wife, Leigh (Rhein) Carleu of Summit, N.J.; his father, George Carleu and stepmother Carol Hancock-Carleu of Montville, N.J.; a sister, Linda (Carleu) Smith of Golden, Colo.; a brother, Gregory Carleu of Waitsfield, Vt., as well as four nieces and one nephew. His mother, Priscilla Griffiths Carleu, predeceased him. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's name are suggested for the
