Madeleine Diab

Madeleine L. Diab, a real estate broker and sales associate in the Summit, N.J., and Bernardsville, N.J., areas for 15 years, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. She was 55. Ms. Diab and her husband, John Berard, had moved from Summit to Naples, Fla., only weeks before her passing. She had been a breast cancer survivor for 25 years. Before becoming a Realtor, she worked in sales, marketing and management in New York City. Madeleine also attended the Kushi Institute in the Berkshire Mountains, where she studied macrobiotics. Madeleine was a devoted and loving daughter to her mother, Patricia Fons Diab, who predeceased her. In addition to her husband, Madeleine is survived by their faithful canine companion, Max; father, Robert A. Diab of New Providence, N.J.; brother, Robert A. Diab Jr. and his wife, Beth, of Sacramento, Calif., and Santa Rosa, Calif.; and sisters, Claire Diab of Summit, N.J., Helen Diab and her husband of New Jersey, Jennifer Warren of Queens, N.Y., and Julia Warren of St. Louis, Mo. She also left behind four nieces, Emily, Madeleine, Victoria and Catherine Diab of Santa Rosa, Calif.; aunts and uncles, and many cousins in the U.S., Canada and England.
