I sorrowly miss Lora although I have not seen her for a number of years because of the distance. I remember walking home from school with her often and having her parents invite me over for supper. I remember drinking her father's homemade red wine that he made in the basement and eating his homemade sausage. The kids would mix their wine with milk!! Lora's parents came from the same town in Italy. She had a big, tri-coloured Collie in the backyard and chickens for eggs. I remember her playing her violin as did her two brothers, and we would drive around Milwaukee in her very tiny, standard Fiat. Sometimes,....... we would walk over to Mary-Ann Pappathopoulos' home or Donna Witt's home and just hang out!!! Those were the fun days and I remember them often. Lora was a friend you could always count on.
