Bobby was one of the kindess, gentle, concerning & devoted friend than ANYONE COULD HOPE TO FINE. We met when we were in grade school (Carlton) & became instant friends and in years to follow "Boyfriend & Girlfriend" for MANY YEARS. He was my Mr. Wonderful. We were very fortunate to get together a group of us who went everywhere and did everything together - probably starting in our fourth grade. We had base ball after school & we all spend MANY FUN TIMES AT MY HOUSE. Our group consisted, besides of Bobby & I, of Helen Poetzl, Dennis Kuester, Alan Pollack (who moved to Ill when we were in Jr High), Billy Blair (moved to Utah when we were in Jr. High but Helen sitll communicates with him),
Bobby married a WONDERFUL SWEETHEART OF A GIRL - JANET. My husband & I had the great opportunity of having them sit with us at out 10th Class Reunion. The next week Bobby & Janet came to our house in Oconomowoc & we had a fantastic visit. In the year 2000, my family had a celebration of being in our home on 40th street for 50 years.& I invited many of my school friends (I was living in S.C. already at that time) and Bobby & Janet came. I was so upset to see Bobby walking with a cane & have so much pain throughout his body (Bobby was a gymnast fo Custer & he loved the high bars) but his spirit hadn't changed a bit. When I heard of his passing several years after that, from Helen, I was so saddened that I hadn't remained living back in Milwaukee to continue our Blessed Friendship. I think of him so often & all the fun times we shared.
I hope that Janet is taking care of herself as I know that they shared a very special love and marriage. I thank God for bringing such a SPECIAL LADY INTO BOBBY'S LIFE WHO MADE THEIR UNION SUCH A BLESSING FOR BOTH OF THEM... I DEEPLY MISS YOU MY DEAR FRIEND... Nancy
