I remember returning to Custer High School after the summer of 1962 and hearing of the death of Arthur over the public address system. It was a shock to hear that one of our classmates had passed away as I spoke with him when school let out the middle of June. Although, Arthur passed away before graduation in June 1963, he was included in our Class of 1963 and mentioned at our graduation.
