Practiced Endocrinology in Albuquerque since 1972. Now waiting to retire - have retirement home in Las Vegas, NV. I would encourage anyone looking for a warm climate in an interesting city to consider Las Vegas. Home prices are down and there is no state income taxes. Property taxes are much less than Minnesota.
Had a retirement plan but it tanked with the economy, So I will work forever.
I have 6 grand Children. The youngest born in Germany. Her parents have returned to the states but they live in Maryland. Only my son lives in Albuquerque. My other daughter is in Las Vegas, NV
It has been one year now that I found that I was born with a Bicuspid aortic valve a
I have had a solo practice of endocrinology for 40 years. This month I will be closing my practice. But I won't be retiring . I the Medical Director for Health Insight New Mexico and the review Medical Director for Health Insight New Mexico, Nevada and Utah. In May I will also t seeing patients part time for a clinic here in Albuquerque. I was such a lazy, sickly kid in high school that I can't believe I am still going. But, I am afraid that if I stop, I will have 2 asterisks after my name.
It has been one year now that I found out that I was born with a Bicuspid aortic valve and had to have it replaced. I had it done in Rochester at the Mayo clinic. It was a breeze. They really do good work at Mayo. When I was discharged Dick and Cathy Martin showed uo to take Lois and I
back to Minneapolis for the flight home. It was wonderful to have such good friends. The only thing that bothered me about the whole thing was when the surgeon told me that a valve that would last 15 years should be enough.
I loved High School. Guys at De were and are the greatest.
I was really saddened to hear of Art Russell's passing. Art and I spent many hours together in Bro. John C's "Personal Improvement Club". He was a great guy. I won't forget the morning that we sat trying to write a phony excuse for being late. Art's mother told us were were stupid and wrote the note for us. Bro. John C said it was the worst note he had seen and was could do better forging a note - another week in the PI Club!

Happy Birthday Matt. For some reason I don't remember you having all the hair that you have now. How come it is not grey like mine?

Happy birthday a day late. Hope that all is well with you and that you are in very good health. I enjoyed seeing you and talking with you at the reunion a couple of years ago. Hope that we can get together again some time.
W= ally and I started Kindergarten together, went to grade school together and then De. Wally was always the star athelete. I was a 98 pound weekling. Wally was always a good friend to everyone. A trait he carried through the rest of his life.I didn't see much of him after high school as I went to Marqquette and after Med school moved around fuSeeing Wally was alwasy a highlight of the De reunions.rther training until I settled im Mew Mexico. He will be truely missed by many.

Happy birthday John. It has been a couple of years since we startedSt. Peters Grade school together. What happened to your hair? Otherwise you look the same. Hope that all is well with you. Out of interest, does your family still have the Viking Tickets? John (Mike) Seibel. endo@jseibel.com
I hope that you had a happy birthday. May health and good fortune come your way. It is hard to believe that we started at St. Peter's and finished at DE - just a few years back.
Matt,
Happy birthday a couple of days early. I hope that you treat yourself to something on the 27th. Wishing you good health for the coming year.
