Being a military family for 27 years, we moved around a lot. Met a lot of people and enjoyed every duty station. Now retired in Opelousas.

1959- Worked at Publications for Catholic Youth and handled all 1964 accounts for Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri & Montana. 1964 Married William Enlund, classmate. 1965 First son, Todd Allen, born. 1965 First home bought in Cedar Grove, Egan, Minnesota. 1968 Second son, Matthew Walter, born. 1968 Military transfer to Sandpoint Navel Air Station, Seattle, Washington. 1970 Military transfer to Glenview Naval Air Station, Glenview, Illinois. 1970 Bought home in Carpentersville, Illinois. 1971 Third son, Andrew Clayton, born. 1974 Military transfer to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, Oak Harbor, Washington. 1977 Became foster parents to two babies ages birth & 3 months. 1978 Military transfer to Willow Grove Naval Air Station, Willow Grove, Pennsylvania. 1979 Became foster parents to two little boys, ages 18 months & 3 years. 1980 Military transfer to Belle Chasse Naval Air Station, Belle Chasse, Louisiana. 1981 Foster parents to baby girl, age 3 months. 1981 Became certified ceramic instructor. Worked at the base ceramic shop. 1983 Military transfer to Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Mt. Clemens, Michigan. 1983 Obtained job in base ceramic shop. 1984 Adoption of daughter, former foster baby from Louisiana. 1986 Military transfer back to Belle Chasse Naval Air Station, Belle Chasse, Louisiana. 1986 Bought home in Harvey, Louisiana. 1986 Opened up own business. Sold ceramic masks in French Quarter market. 1988 Closed business and worked for another lady who produced ceramic masks. Worked for her for 10 years. 1989 William retired from military. 1998 Opened up another business and worked at it until Hurricane Katrina pushed us out of the New Orleans area and into the small town of Opelousas, Louisiana. 2005 Bought house in Opelousas, Louisiana after we relocated following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. 2005- I'm now retired and doing what I want. About time!!!! 2010 Best memories of the past 50 years: The birth of all of our children, being able to live in Washington State twice, and of course, our 6 grandchildren: 1 girl, 5 boys.
