June 8, 2012 SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Dennis Lewis, 68, Sacramento, formerly of Minot, died June 1, 2012, in Sacramento. He was born July 12, 1943, to Alfred and Madolin Lewis, in Minot.
Dennis Lewis lived across the street from me when I lived at #2 Eighth Street NW in Minot during grade school and also into Junior High. They moved away before High School I think.
Dennis brought an Elvis Presley record over to play at my house. I remember thinking, "What a strange name Elvis Presley" was and of course Dennis couldn't believe I hadn't heard of him,
Another memory I have of Dennis was that he stood out in the middle of the street playing "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" on his trumpet. Lucky there wasn't much traffic in those days!
