Maria Makohin (Willis) - Class Of 1982

Maria Makohin (Willis)

From Steve Makohin November 18, 2021 · Maria Christina Willis (Makohin), my sister, passed away at 3 AM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, after losing her month-and-a-half-long battle with COVID-19. Maria, age 57, was in an induced coma, on a ventilator for about a month. She had no “pre-existing conditions.” In recent days, she was gradually getting better, but in the early hours of Wednesday morning, her heart pressure dropped. Doctors could not save her. Maria touched so many of us, and brought light into our lives. Dark times now, for a while. Dark times. Maria, you know many adore you. We’re just having a hard time adjusting to life without you, here in this physical world.

Her service was live-streamed Wednesday, Dec 1, at 3 PM Eastern Standard Time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8QTSkl6Zpk

My condolences to Maria's family for their loss. I remember her well in high school from our music trips to the states as she was in the choir I believe. She was always seeet and kind to everyone. So sorry to hear COVID claimed her life. How tragic.

Blessings to the family.

Clive
