Rick passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016 at the University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Richard Charles Friedrich was born Dec. 13, 1948, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, a son of Richard G.W. and Vivian Friedrich.  He married Linda E. Rose on May 2, 1989.

Rick had worked as the long-haul truck driver most recently with Martin Milk Trucking out of Wilton, Wisconsin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and just being outdoors; but his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Linda, of Davenport; children, Kimberly (Ryan Richard) Friedrich, Davenport, Carol (Kal) Lindsey, Gresham, Oregon, Kelli (Rusty) Brown, Peoria, Arizona, and Shannon Friedrich of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Isabell and Tristan Richard, Andrew and Jacob Fletcher, and John-Terry Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Eryn and Gavin Fletcher; a sister Sharon (Jerry) Schlewitz, Eau Claire, Wisconsin; as well as numerous loving extended family and friends.

Burial will take place in Arcadia, WI.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Mardell Blegen-Friedrich.
