Good Morning, Mary,
Just wondering if I could come for a visit one day to deliver the correct size shirt...The Locker Room made one to correct their error and I would love to see where you live. I remember you telling about going to the lake in high school and thought it sounded like a grand place to be. My phone number is 509-899-2603 and I try to be by it, but it hides on me now and then. (phone) Would also love to see the art you must be working on now.

Karen Ness, I have been using your mom's recipe for angel food cake for birthdays. My niece, Heidi, asked if I had your mom's (Anita Ness) potato salad recipe. Could or would you share it?

Happy Anniversary Jackie and Leon! 50 years! Aren't grandkids like a bonus that you didn't even know would be so special. Hope you have many more years to enjoy with your family.

Congratulations, Grandma! I just noticed that we had our first two children in the same year, girl and boy also. Our third, Hannah, was born when your Ian was in 1981 also. We have seven grandchildren and are enjoying them very much. I wish we lived closer, but we are able to travel. So much fun...

Hello again,
Kathy Emmons forwarded Elaine's husband's obituary that has information about the memorial service. She visited with Elaine to get permission to post her address here.

David Gilbertson
TUCSON, Ariz. / DODGEVILLE - David Charles Gilbertson, age 71, died suddenly on Feb. 27, 2015, of a heart attack while wintering in Tucson, Ariz. He was born on May 10, 1943 in Dodgeville. the son of Leon and Vivian Gilbertson, who preceded him in death. David was raised on a farm south of Mount Horeb near Daleyville.

David was a life long sports enthusiast and remembered fondly his days as the Barneveld High School quarterback, especially the year when his team won the conference championship. After high school, David went on to graduate from the Madison Business College in 1966 with a degree in accounting. He was in a reserve unit that was activated and served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969 as a member of the Army 826 Ordnance. Then, he began his successful 47 year career in the life insurance and long term care business. He achieved the designation of Chartered Life Underwriter. Because he enjoyed his profession so much, he was still working at the time of his death. He was well respected for his ethical work standards and his expertise. His customers always came first.

Baseball was David's favorite sport and, over the years, he visited many of the Major League parks with his wife, Elaine. They also enjoyed playing golf together, traveling and the last few years they were avid hikers in the canyons surrounding Tucson. He cherished the time he spent with his two children and two granddaughters. He was so proud of his granddaughters accomplishments and was there to cheer for them when they were involved in sports.

David is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Elaine Olson; his two children, Christopher (Rose) and Kelly (Kevin) Grant, born during his former marriage to Julie Lucey; Chris and Rose's daughters, Viviane and Freya; his brother, Donald Gilbertson (Sonja); two sisters, Mary (Craig) Cottini and Linda (Eugene) Budd; and also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

David will be remembered by his family and many friends for his kind and gentle nature, integrity and ready sense of humor.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the FIRST UNITARIAN SOCIETY in the Atrium Auditorium, located at 900 University Bay Drive, Madison, Wis. There will be an opportunity for friends and relatives to share memories of David at the service. A lunch at the church will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of David may be sent to his favorite charity, The Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin, 2802 Dairy Dr., Madison, WI 53718.

It looks like they had 15 wonderful years.

It is great to have this website to share our news, sad and happy. Thank you, Bob Blum for keeping it up-to-date and active. Glen Grorud called me with Rita's number, so I visited with her this morning, too. The service will be in Strum on May 9th at 11:00, followed by a luncheon at the church and then graveside ceremonies with military honors at 3:30pm at Riverside Cemetery in Mondovi (near where Hwy37 meets Hwy 10).

Hello again,
I believe the addresses in the Class Reunion Booklet are current for Ron Kaiser and Elaine Olson. Ron and Rita address is in Weatherford, TX and Elaine's is in Middleton, WI.
If you email me at gundersong444@gmail.com, I will forward them to you in case they would prefer them not to be published. Anyone having information about services, please post it here. Thank you, Ginny

Hello Class of '67,
This has been a sad spring. Elaine Olson's husband, David Gilbertson, died from a heart attack in late February and the memorial service is on April 11. It was fun to meet David and I do remember how happy the two of them were. So sorry, Elaine. Prayers for you and yours...
I am still in shock from hearing of Ron Kaiser's passing this past week. He was too young to leave us and we were just getting reacquainted as he and Rita were able to attend the last reunion. Thinking of you, too, Rita and family.
Could anyone who reads this confirm that the addresses on our homepage are current so that those who wish could send cards. I did not hear of a date for Ron's service, but will check the Eau Claire Leader. I believe they are in Colorado.
Enjoy each day and give those dear ones a hug whenever you can.
Love from Mondovi,
Ginny
