Virginia Goss Gunderson

Hi Everyone,
Ed and I have been in Ellensburg, WA since 2003. We have plans to move back to Mondovi in 2014. The Barn Again Lodge in Bennet Valley has been like a home to us because our whole family has stayed there oAnce a year for six years. This year was especially fun since we had two five month old cousins born on the same day in February. We have a step granddaughter who is 13, Luke is 4 and Selah is almost 2. We do enjoy the Pacific Northwest but love to come HOME. Our kids live in CO (Sara), AZ(Mike) and SD(Hannah) so we have been traveling to see them and the sights like the Grand Canyon and Laura Ingalls Wilders home in De Smet, SD. Ed's job takes him into WA, OR, ID, UT and a little bit of MT. I am enjoying 5th, 6th and 7th graders in Selah, WA and hope to teach two more years.
UPDATE-1-31-12 Ed has a new job in Wisconsin and will be in Hillsboro beginning in March. I will join him in June when school is out. So I believe I will be retiring from full time teaching and call my career full time Grandma, the greatest job I didn't even know I was always waiting to do. If you are on Facebook and look Ginny Gunderson up, you will see some amazing children (just like your grandchildren).

One of my favorite memories is a SNOW DAY when the snow banks were taller than we were. Kay and Patty Pete and I were throwing each other into them.

Fall weather is also a favorite and football games were especially fun. We had a high school game with St. Felix in Wabasha and I eventually ended up as a librarian for Wabasha-Kellogg in 1997.

We lived in Mondovi with our family from 1988-2003 and our kids all graduated from there too. 1993, 1995 and 1999.

Our son, Mike was a Buffalo and now coaches high school football in AZ. Sara and Hannah were Lady Buffs too playing tennis and basketball. All three kids did track too. The girls both played French Horn like I did. We even got together with Mr. Putzier one summer and played quartet music. Sara teaches nutrition in Denver, Hannah is an elementary music teacher at the Catholic Elementary School in Yankton where her husband is pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church.

This covers more than my high school years, but we have lots of memories from Mondovi Schools. I was an aide at Naples until that country school was closed. I was a library aide in the new IMC in town and got inspired to go back to school, but also had lots of fun being a kindergarten aid. They are the smartest people on the planet. Then we grow up....ummmm
