Still trying to find a balance between my love of sport (golf, kayaking, hiking etc.) and my love of art (drawing, painting, photography, design).

Vicki and I have been partnered up for over ten years. She works in Grand Rapids for Priority Health, is a wonderful hiking partner, actually, wants my art work on the walls, wishes me good luck when I'm off to chase the little white ball and has been the most positive influence I can imagine!
Vicki and I married last August in our back yard. Shortly before that, my daughter Keli and her husband Aaron Hawkins had a baby boy (Simon Jon).

Can't remember the year (probably sophomore) but, I was deeply immersed in drawing model "T" hot rods with huge flaming v8s; and I got a commission from Bill Schwalm to paint one on his bedroom wall. So, there I go, reeking of cool-aid and peanut butter and jelly, to slather this crude automotive abomination on the wall of a home belonging to Bill's dad, Dr. Schwalm, who happened to be a connissuer of the finest automobiles being produced at the time (mostly Porsches and BMWs) and who also comes off as being rather stern and scary to an uninitiated teeny bopper!!

I'll never forget the look on Schwalmie's face as the work progressed. We were essentially painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa and he was loving it!
