Richard passed away on May 14, 2017. Richard was married to Martha Newton for 17 years. Together they had four children and lived in New Jersey. Later Richard remarried Ruby Robinson and retired in Princeton, North Carolina. Most of his work career was with the City of Plainfield and the Housing Authority. Richard believed his most important accomplishment was his 4 children and 7 grandchildren and seeing the adults they all have become. In the Plainfield community, he was known for his volunteer works with youth groups. He was recognized as a youth coach, girls basketball referee, swim instructor, and sports enthusiast! He brought strength and love to all he met. He will remain in our hearts and memories.
