Jeffrey Hartman Fisch, 63, of Madison, died on Wednesday, Dec. 27, in Hackensack University
Medical Center, Hackensack.
Mr. Fisch was born in Morristown. He graduated from Montclair High School in 1961, from the
University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business in 1965, and from George Washington
University School of Law in 1968. He was a co-managing partner of Ravin, Sarasohn, Cook,
Baumgarten, Fisch and Rosen, P.C., of Roseland until February 2000. Recently he held an of
counsel position with Fox and Fox LLP of Livingston.
Over the years, Mr. Fisch was honored for numerous legal and philanthropic activities. He was a
two-time varsity letterman for tennis at the University of Pennsylvania and an avid golfer and sports
fan. He received the Essex County Bar Association Family Law Attorney Achievement Award in
2001. He was an active member of the Essex County Executive Committee, Family Law Section:
Judicial and Prosecutorial Review Committee and New Jersey State (Family Law Section) Bar
Association. He was a major fundraiser for the ?Light the Night? foundation of Morris County, a
chairman of the N.J. Chapter Cystic Fibrosis Sports Challenge, and a member of the Board of
Di-rectors of Shackamaxon Country Club.
Mr. Fisch is survived by two sons, Jordan and Jedd Fisch; two daughters-in-law, Denise Albert
and Amber Fisch; his mother, Jaros Fisch; his brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Joan Fisch; a
sister, Barbara Leaf; two grandchildren, Jaron Fisch and Zaylee Rust; and his ex-wife and good
friend Deborah Fisch.
Services were held on Dec. 29 at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
Interment followed at B'Nai Abraham Cemetery, Union.
