I am saddened to learn of Mr. Galusky's passing. Not only was he a great teacher and mentor for me but he and his wife were great supporters of mine after college when I was teaching in Bisbee. I visited them both in Morenci and in Safford.

He will be missed by many. Joe Galusky was one a many teachers from Morenci who were instrumental in providing me a fine education. I owe them all a debt of gratitude.

Mr. Galusky was my favorite teacher in High School...whenever I think of a person of integrity and noble character, he is the first one who comes to mind.  To my regret, I have to admit I didn't fully appreciate the role model he provided during my early years but I have remembered him as that over the years since I left high school.  I wish I had the maturity to appreciate him during those school years...but have come to do so more and more as the years have gone by.

He sincerely cared for those whom he taught and that showed both inside and outside of the classroom.

I'm sorry to learn of his passing some five years ago but was interested to learn of all that he did in his life that made him the person he came to be by the time I was privileged to know him.
