John Montgomery passed away peacefully at the age of 56. His death was the result of a long illness due to exposure to chemicals while in the military in Vietnam.

He was always active in anything that had to do with veterans or anything for the community. He was always lending a helping hand. He was a good husband, son, brother, father and friend. He is survived by his wife, Janice Montgomery of Duncan, his mother, his four sons, 2 stepdaughters,6 sisters and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and 2 fathers.
