Anne Mahan (Romer)

Carol moved to Phoenix right after graduation in 1974. She worked for several years for American Express and Bank of America in a lot of different positions. Her last position was as a Recruiter for a placement agency in Phoenix - a position she truly loved because she felt she was helping people.

In 2001, Carol was diagnosed with cancer and beat it for almost 2 years. Carol was a fighter - she enjoyed life and truly loved and appreciated the people around her. During this fight, she started a support group for Pancreatic Cancer patients and their families, a group that still continues. Her only regret besides leaving those she loves was that she wouldn't be around long enough to help raise more money for the PanCan Organization.

The one thing I learned from Carol is to not take anyone for granted. Life is short - in some cases too short. Tell those you care about how much you care. Be verbal and say it often.

Carol Mahan Senyk left behind a son, Darin, a wonderful fiance, Van Bowman, a good friend and ex-husband, Warren Senyk, her mother, myself, my husband, our families, and many loving friends.
