02/11/09 01:33 PM #2     Deena Abney Okay I want to start a discussion and maybe by the end we will be able to come up with some ideas. I have a big problem with the Moss Point High that we use to know and I'm sure that this is not only a problem in Moss Point but worldwide. When we graduated we were 300 plus strong, now from what I'm hearing maybe 200 or more. When I come home I see the parking lots empty, we use to have to circle the parking lots to find a spot and did not want to park at the field house. I'm sure hurricane Katrina had something to do with the numbers but I'm sure thats not all. We are trying to come up with ideas to help our school to help the kids in our community but what can we do? Do you guys see the same thing I'm seeing with our community or is it nothing to worry about?

02/25/09 07:05 PM #3     Ken Myers I haven't seen that for myself cause I'm not at home that much. But if that's true are there more rules on personal vehicles by students? Or are the actual attendance numbers lower? If they are lower then it's more so either the parents aren't enforcing the kids like ours did or there just aren't enough people inside the school area like before. Im sure most people moved elsewhere. Oh I heard the water is clear now. What the hell was all those years of brown water I dealt with????

03/29/09 04:17 PM #4     Anitra McElroy YES KEN THE WATER IS CRYSTAL CLEAR....I SCREAMED WAY LOUD...WHEN I SAW IT FOR MYSELF. DEENA I FEEL YAH 100%. I FEEL AS C\O 1999 WE SHOULD FORM AN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AS WELL SO THAT WE CAN MAKE A NAME FOR OURSELVES AND FIND WAYS TO GIVE BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY. AFTER ALL, WE ARE THE LAST AND BEST OF THE CENTURY!!!
