, age 25, a native of Moss Point, MS, died Saturday, June 11, 2005 in Amiriyah, Iraq, a little dot on the map just a speck away from a larger dot known as Baghdad. Hungry with a desire to travel and experience more of the world and its people, Terrance felt the military could offer him such an opportunity and entered the Navy for a short time and then joined the National Guard's 155th Armor Brigade Combat Team, known as "Dixie Thunder," in 2003. Terrance once told his Mom and "Granmama", "I can be killed walking on the streets of Moss Point just as easily, and if I were to die in Iraq, I will be fighting for my country and doing what I feel is right." On Friday, June 24, 2005, a grateful country will present to his family the Purple Heart, given for wounds received in hostile action, and the Bronze Star, given for meritorious service. Sergeant Terrance Lee's duty performance and selfless service were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, the Multi-National Corps Iraq, and the United States Army. He gave the ultimate sacrifice.

My cousin always had my back. He was one of the sweetest people that I knew. I couldn't go to his funeral because I was in denile. No one really knew how much I was hurting. I had to pull over while I was driving one day and I just screamed. I held it in soooo long that it finally came out. I love you Terrance and I always will.

When my sister told me that Lee had been killed I was on assignment in South Korea. I had previously came home bc my aunt was extremely ill and I actually saw him. Anyone that has the courage to defend their country on someone else land has much respect from me. Rest in Peace Terrance...
