STANLEY - Mark Henry W. Shields, 50, of 127 Alexis Forest Drive, died Nov. 21, 2009, at his residence.

He was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his parents, Henry and Joan Clinton Shields of Stanley; one son, Justin Garrett W. Shields of Alexis; one brother, David Roy Shields of Mount Holly; one nephew, David Roy Shields II of Mount Holly.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Shields will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Anderson officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly is serving the family of Mr. Shields.
