Hey guys... words can never tell you all what your outgoing show of love meant to Brenda in her time of sickness and the time of passing. I was a senior when you all were sophomores. Brenda loved you all so much. I knew then that this was a special class.
After high school Brenda went to UNC and UNC at Char. and recieved her BS in Nursing. We were blessed with three lovely children: Jamie, 25; Kyle 23 and Alyssa 21 (she is just like Bren.) Brenda was a nursing supervisor for Emerial Care of Gaston County for 18 years until Jan. 2005 when she started to become ill.
I took her to Wake Forest Hosp. in Nov. 05 - she was getting worse. They ran all kinds of test, but still was not sure what was wrong. Brenda knew. She told the Doctors she thought it was ALS. So in May of 2006 they diagnosed her with ALS which is terminal. We were praying for Gods healing in her life . Brenda was so strong she kept her faith all the way until the very end. She passed away three days after our 26th wedding anniversary. I was holding her hand and told her "I love you," and she said "I love you more" and looked at me and the kids and took her last breath. She was at home.
Thanks to Russell, Scott, Alan, Beth,Scott L, Melissa, and all of you for your cards and love that you showed to Brenda, me and the kids. She loved you all. Please keep me and the kids in your prayers.

Ricky, I know I speak for everyone by saying that we are so sorry for your loss. We all loved Brenda, too. She was such a bright spot in our class. She was beautiful inside and out. And who can forget her smile and crazy antics. Brenda and her family lived very near me growing up in Mt. Holly, and I have very fond summertime memories of our days at the Mt. Holly pool. From junior high through high school, Brenda certainly made her mark and was a positive influence on everyone she came in contact with. I know she was a great Mom and wife, too. We will, for sure, keep you and your family in our prayers. We are delighted that you are participating with us in Brenda's absence here on our class website.

Sincerely,

Russell Randolph

Ricky and family,
You know that Brenda and I were close in junior high and high school. I wish that I could have seen her more through the years, because she was a special person. I wish that you and she did not have to suffer such a tragic loss, but I know that Brenda is now with our Lord. I know that she loved you dearly, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and faith. I will always cherish my memories of Brenda at school and at the pool. She was a true friend.

Love,
Beth M. Foster

Ricky and Family,

I'm sorry to hear of your loss of Brenda and a dear classmate. I remember Brenda as being pretty and active in sports. She had a very nice personality too. I know you will always have sweet memories of her. I became teary eyed when you said that you were holding her hand, you told her you loved her and she said "I love you more" and looked around to her family and took her last breathe. That was heart felt.

I know memories of her will always be sweet. I'm glad she had the Lord in her life, because you know where she is and you'll see her again. Stay strong you all and keep the faith!

Ricky,
I was very sad about Brenda's death and happy for her at the same time. I do not know why God did not heal Brenda on earth but I know she is healed now.
Brenda was one of the hardest working people I ever knew. We rode together to UNCC and she went at everything she did 100%. She was never lazy and did everything well. I wish I had made more opportunity to see her and talk with her before she could not speak...Brenda always taught me something.
Brenda is missed and always will be and you and the kids are forever in our prayers.

Always, Sharon Miskelly Dillard
