RAUL ORTIZ
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Raul Ortiz, 64, of Muscatine, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at his home.

Raul was born on January 8, 1952, in Val Verde, Texas, the son of Julian A. and Maria Castanon Ortiz. He had been a resident of Muscatine for most of his life.

He retired from H.J. Heinz after over 40 years of employment.

Those left to honor his memory include two daughters, Tennell Flake and Kaila Boldt, both of Muscatine; eight grandchildren, Angelica, Samantha, and Madeline Chambers, of Houston, Texas, Nicholas and Madison Gilleland, and Kali, Kaden, and Kane Boldt, all of Muscatine; one brother, Julian Ortiz Jr and wife, Deeann, of Conesville; three sisters, Dora Raushenberger, Belinda Ortiz, and Mary Olivarez and husband, Raymond, all of Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Joel Raushenberger
