Susan Jones Obituary

Susan Kay Jones, 70, of Muscatine, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at her home.  Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Muscatine.   Burial will be in at Greenwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Muscatine Humane Society.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com. 

Sue was born August 22, 1952 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Shirley (Terrill) Hopkins. She graduated from Muscatine High School. Sue was united in marriage to Rich Jones on November 20, 1986 in Muscatine.

Sue worked for Lettica Corporation for many years and as a private housekeeper over 20 years. Sue enjoyed gardening, boating, camping and woodworking with her husband. She loved animals, particularly her pet schnauzers. 

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Rich Jones of Muscatine; children: Jessica Odegard, Julie (Doug) Jones and Craig (Melissa) Jones, all of Muscatine; six grandchildren: Ashleigh, Cooper, Sean, Dawson, Trae and Carter; siblings: Robert (Loretta) Hopkins of Muscatine; Timothy (Monica) Hopkins of Muscatine; Russell (Angela) Hopkins of Muscatine; and Sheri (Todd) Nylin of Keithsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Virginia Hopkins.
