I guess I only went to the Brew. I didn't go to the picnic the next day, probably cuz I got too drunk?

Hey Ric, Fat Trav is alive and well in Cedar Rapids. Rockin' on the drums in a band. Also, it was great reading your profile about us rockin' about in H.S.

I have an idea for the reunion. We should challenge Herb Holler to a game of floor hockey in the MHS gym. That would be brilliant! :P

Anyone have any pictures or links to pics of the current flood situation in Muscatine? I hate being thousands of miles away and can't see what's going on! lol

the national weather service website is updated regularly adn keeps track of river levels at points along the mississippi including muscatine. you can also check on the others rivers in the area like the iowa and cedar rivers. i would look on the qctimes website and in the cedar rapids gazette etc for pictures of those areas but i think the journal website will have photos of the flooding in muscatine. i was downtown tonight and mississippi drive is closed past iowa ave due to water on the road. the park was only halfway under water yesterday but it's completely under today. only the train tracks are above water. the water is creeping closer to the hotel muscatine as the day has progressed.

thanks. i've been checking that site every day. i forgot to say that if you click on the dot next to muscatine or other towns you get specific information on those towns.

we have had a hard time at my agency because some of our staff live on the other side of the county or in louisa county and all the roads are cut off. the county is basically split in half.

Hey guys! It's been great catching up on what so many of you are up to these days! Thanks for doing such a great job on the website, Dave!!

I know when I first created my profile, I indicated that I would be at the reunion, but unfortunately, I realized that the 19th is the same day that a good friend of mine is getting married in Clear Lake, IA (next to Mason City). So, as much as I want to be at the reunion and see all of you again, I'm afraid I'm going to have to miss this one. I'm really disappointed because I had such a great time at the 10 year reunion! I hope you all have just as much fun at this one!! Can't wait to see the pictures!

It was so great to see everyone at the reunion and had a great time! There are still so many that didn't go that I wish I could have talked to. Hope every one is doing good. We survived yet another flood after a bad winter as well. This weather is nuts! I'm hoping to update my profile sometime this week when I get a free moment(rarely ever does that happen)! Please drop a line to say hi. Can't wait to hear from everyone!!!

Hey everyone,
It was great to see everyone as well.
I really enjoyed the school tour (wish my camera worked) and had fun at the park as well. Sorry, I couldn't make it to the Brew that night, but I had to work for the Johnson County Sheriff's Department for a local town festival. I hope we can stay in touch better. Please feel free to email me at explorer52806@yahoo.com, myspace or facebook as alan reinier, or my website at www.alansphotographiccreations.com.
I look forward to hearing from everyone and look forward to keeping in touch.
Thanks,
Alan Reinier

Just came across this in some back pages of the Muscatine Journal online:

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Thomas Joseph Korthaus, the infant son of Tony and Amy Korthaus of Eden Prairie, was born on July 10, 2008, and died on July 17, 2008, at Children’s Hospital in Minnesota.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be preparing various memorials for Children’s Hospital in Minnesota.

Thomas is survived by his parents; grandmother, Tam Korthaus; grandparents, Joseph and Gladys Oppold of Waterloo; great-grandmother, Ruby Moorhead; uncle, aunt and cousin, Todd, Tara and Riley Korthaus; and several maternal uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Thomas Korthaus.
---------------------------------------------------------

Just wanted to say to Tony and his wife that our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.
